I always thought that underwear auctions were pretty stupid... unfortunately a lot of people are pretty stupid. xp

At least this time around the mods didn't hold underwear auctions to fund their personal quests, though that sort of thing happens all the time with much less publicity. It really disappoints and disgusts me to see people playing off their status like that, especially because when I--or anyone else--speaks against it, the typical reaction is to dismiss my objection as being based in jealousy.

There's really nothing to do except disapprove in the background I guess.

If I was more active and involved in Gaia, I might have been more inclined to hang out in the ball--a friend invited me to his thread, even--but I saw little reason to wade through a zillion spam posts to find a conversation. So tired of Gaia forum events. xp
