I earned the gold for my vending license more quickly than I thought, simply by surfing around and voting in the arenas. I guess gold isn't that hard to earn after all. Anyway, I was finally able to open up my humble shoppe at the Marketplace! heart
As my first sale, I tried selling some tickets I've won by playing slots and cards. I thought if I wanted to buy tickets, I'd search for tickets, sort them by lowest buy price, and buy the ones where the cost per ticket was the lowest. I can't be the only one who thinks like that. Therefore, I figured if I wanted to sell my tickets quickly, I'd have to be on the first page when people search by lowest buy price.
I decided to sell my tickets for 3g per ticket, in bunches of 3 or 5 tickets. I sold off all my tickets very quickly. Perhaps I priced them too low? Hmm...
My next project will be trying to find out if it would be possible to earn gold by gambling. I haven't actually bought any tokens myself yet. I've played only the tokens I got when I joined and some tokens I won in the daily chance. When I run out of my tokens, I'll try doing this: I buy tokens for 1g and sell tickets for 3g.
This means that If I win more than 1 token per every 3 tokens I play, and never play my winnings, I'll actually make some gold by gambling. Would this work? So far it seems to work, but I can't be sure because I've only played, like, 20 tokens so far. We'll see, I'll have to experiment some more...
Things I've learned:
[x] Buy low, sell higher.
[x] At the Marketplace, your item must be among the first ones when people sort by lowest buy price.
[x] Never play your winnings when gambling. Cash them out as tickets instead, because tickets are worth more.
