...fourth day on Gaia but my second day actually exploring this site. I joined Gaia because I thought it would be a big forum with pretty customizable avatars, but now I realize Gaia is so much more. I'm slowly getting my feet wet here, but this thing seems so incredibly huge, with all the items, games, people, maps, and... and... a storyline?! Great, they have some RP elements here as well.

I've never seen as big a community as Gaia. The forums move incredibly fast, especially places like the Chatterbox. Post something in a thread, visit the Chatterbox main page, and you'll see your thread has already sunken into the 2nd page! This is... just... overwhelming. I guess the guilds are slower and more like the forums I've gotten used to. I've only joined one guild so far, but it seems very nice. I like the more quiet places because there I'll have the chance of getting to know people a bit better.

The first thing I realized after poking around for a while is that my character is really, really poor. I thought 1,000 gold was a huge amount of virtual money, but some old, rare collectibles seem to cost a gazillion gold! I've decided not to sweat about my virtual wealth but of course I'll have to figure out a way to earn some of those goldsies faster so I can buy some pretty new stuff for my avatar. Yeah, Gaia has an economy. That's pretty neat, now I'll have to go figure out how the economy works! domokun

So... my to-do list:
[x] Browse the different subforums and guilds and find my niche.
[x] Earn 1,000 gold for a vending license so I can sell my stuff at the Marketplace.
