_____telling news of another day that was soon about to come.
The flowers petals opened, and the dew sparkled in the light,
_____the vibrant hues of red and gold soon washed away the night.
The birds called out and the squirrels awoke,
_____and watched the kingfishers fly through the clear smoke.
The trees great leaves slowly swayed in the wind,
_____then to the cool river where there was no end.
With the sun smiling softly I made my way there,
_____and sat on a rock as I tied up my hair.
I took out my sketchbook and started to draw,
_____the lone tree by the river from which the birds caw.
I drew every detail that I could see here,
_____including a small strangler from a large group of deer.
I sighed as I drew one last blade of grass,
_____and thought, "The day sure has come and gone by so fast."
A few small stars twinkled in the sky,
_____and the moon faintly showed as if to say hi.
I gathered my stuff so I could go home,
_____before the stars and moon were comepletly shown.
I walked away as day turned into night,
_____the indigo was growing and the yellow wasn't so bright.
I looked ahead as the frogs sang and the owls started to dance,
_____to see a flower close with just a quick glance.
