Upon the face
Of various passersbys

Because within the dark limits of your mind

Their emotion is only skin deep
And in their eyes you see
Only pure

DISEASE

That blessed demon that loves to consume
You cannot restrain it
You know it too well
You cannot

The hurt look they give you speaks thousands
Through their dead eyes
Eyes that have not seen true joy ,
Not since the birth of this

DISEASE

You cannot see it
Beating within their weakening souls
Like that guarding dragon around yourself
That wall from which you long to climb and

But how you thrash and struggle
Maybe you can beat it
Maybe you will be the first to win against
This contagious, this deadly, this haunting,

all you wish, all that you long for
