Today was an adventure a true adventure. Nothing like this will ever happen again probably. I learned something today though. It's that at the last year I'm at a school close to the last day there is a fire.
Third Period today was as usual and then a fre alarm went off. We all marched down the stairs getting out and standing outside the building. But this time the alarm did not go off after about 5 minutes and Dr. Knott never said it was time to re-enter the building. We stood out ther a for about 20ish minutes and a lot of the kids were saying that they were making us wait a while because it was probably the last drill this year. No one really knew what was going on we were just standing outside. The two school buses arrived, a girl next to me had said it was for one of the field trips (there was 2), "but they had called for those people back in 1st" Was what went through my head.
Soon the buses stopped and kids and teachers both 2 classes at a time on each bus was rushed inside(the bus). Soon more buses came so the principal told them to park where the bus parking is and everyone would wal there, 2 classes at a time. We all walked to the buses, no one having the slightest idea of what was going on. The way they were acting it was a bomb threat. Wehen we were all loaded on buses (the busdrivers didn't even know what was going on) we had to sit and wait there. I looked out the window and saw the entire school board outside talking, none of our teachers tho they were loaded on the bus with the rest of us.
We sat there for awhile when they announced on the bus radio's there was a fire in the back of the school and they were trying to figure out where they would take us and what would happen. Well they ended up driving us to the Main Campus across the street where we sat awhile. Until they had everything situated. They ended up stuffing us in the auditorium. And after all the time it took us to get there and for them to decide where to put us, the fire trucks finally arived.
In the auditorium they told us the story. That the FACS (Hom Ec.) room had caught fire and alot was damaged, the sprinlkers did alot damage too. They then told us that our parents would be picking us up shortly and the buses would arive again in twenty minutes (yeah I know) and for those of us who didn't have house keys that had to ride the bus to stay. My friends were all there I only didn't see Meredith and Shane, but I hope they are ok although I believe they are.
Well after four hours of staying there they tokd us keyless people to call anyone and get us out of there. That was the biggest waste of time. Then I rode in a catalac to my neighbors and watched soap operas. *sigh* Not very detailed, but you get the picture.
