CH:1: Hope is Found
Splinter sat in a different living room instead of the ones that he knew of. He was sitting in a brightly lit living room, with a large front window giving a view of the street and some of the other houses across from it.
A grand piano sat next to it covered with pile and piles of sheet music, pens and oil pants. A few blank canvases resting agent the piano’s legs, covered with white sheets to keep them from getting dusty. A large armchair next to a fire place, ageing with soot and ashes from the long winter days and nights that should have been cleaned sins March. The sofa sat infrunt of the fire place, along with a coffee table. The room was quite large and yet it was cluttered with so many things.
Book shelves filled with books of many things, more papers of sketches of clothing and other things “Ill be in there in just a sec, have to change in to something that’s not work related!” said a feminine voice.
“Take your time child” Splinter said calmly. He shook his head with a gentle motion. The old rat stroked his fuzzy chin, and grabbed a few piles of papers and looked at them “It amazes me how she keeps everything like this and still knows where it all is.” He said looking at some of her sketches.
“Splinter…?” the voice said. It was a lot louder then it was before but in away it was pleasant to listen to. Old eyes gases up at a young mutant girl. Shoulder length curly red hair, light green skin with light violet spots on her arms and on her coiler bone that went up along the sides of her face and down to her back and stopping where her tail began. Wide eyes, but different that of any human, they where snake fore others people call them demon almost, black that’s suppose to be the white part of your eye and different shades of light and dark blues. She was not like most girl’s who where too rounded or too skinny but she was right in the middle of the two. Her tail wrapped itself around her leg as she came in. Her pointed ears pined down slightly seeing her master looking at her art work
“You should keep your things in a safer place Hope you might lose them”
“Yes and your point is...I know where everything is….” She said taking them away from him with a sigh. “Why are you here any way?” Hope asked. She sat on the sofa away from the rat.
Splinter sighed “Why wert you in school?” he asked her with a straight face.
Hope bit her lower lip “I was in school...kinda...”
“Your lying child” He knew when she bit her lip she was lying. Hope was not the best of lyre.
“How do you know any way that I wasn’t in school?” she asked
“I saw you on the new this morning. Well a glimpse of you anyway…what’s this about a bank robbery “
“Ehh…” she covered her face she couldn’t take it any more “Okay I give, I give…On my way to school I saw two strange looking guys walking into the bank so I followed them in.!” she hated her guilty concisions she really, really did and she hated feeling guilty too.
“So you tied them to the power line outside the bank…”
“Yes sir…But no one saw me my-“
“I don’t want to hear it Hope you know what I told you in your training never use to yr skills for your enjoyment!” he scolded.
The mutant girl twitched “Enjoyment, ENJOYMENT! Good sir I saved though peoples lives thank you! if it went for me an old lady would be dead because of them!” she shouted when she stud up, and then sat back down crossing her arms and legs at the same time.
Splinter sighed and rubbed his temple “I’m only looking out for you”
“Because of my Mum…I know, I know…but you know what I’m 17 and ill be 18 in June I think I can handle my self Master...”
“Hope please you must think. What would happen if people found out what you can do, how much trouble you’ll get into” his eyes sadden when he said his words but it only made the matters worse “You mother would be unhappy seeing you like this, just think-“
Hope looked at him with eyes filled with anger “Sorry but that’s a little late to say that to me now Love” she snapped “For half a year I’ve bin chased down each bloody night by these people dressed in black ninja outfits!” she yelled “And I’ve bin doing just fine with my magic and with little training you’ve bin giving me I’m sorry if I’m such a disappointment to you”.
The room was silent till a figure came through he walls of the living room “Mistress you” he stopped half way “Um am I interrupting anything?” he asked. His cat ears folded down a bit feeling the uneasy-ness in the room.
Hope Looked at the gardenia and then at the rat and sighed “Da’”
Da’ was a cat phantom that belonged to Hopes late master that took her in. Da’ had long silver hair, sharp blue green eyes and a genital smile. Hope looked away from the two “No…nothings wrong I was just leaving any way” Hope graved her hooded poncho and left out the front door.
Da’ came out all the way and sighed “She was in one of her moods again?” he asked. Splinter rested his chin on his cane and sighed. “I think this is getting worse for me to handle alone. Who thought trying to raise a young lady would be tougher then four boys”
“How are they boys doing by the way?” Da’ asked.
“There doing fine, there growing stronger each day but there minds seam to wonder more and more” he said with a smile”

It was true the boys have gotten older and stronger but something seem to be a little different about them something that’s going to change them for the better or fore worse.
The night for them started off like any other…
“What’s the matter Raph you seem a little slow!” Donatello pushed his brother back and knocked him down. Raph skied to a stop and just sat there. He hated losing to his brothers but something was just on his mind.
“Looks like his brain bin shut off” Mikey said.
“No Mikey that happens to you...” Donny said with a sigh
“It does?” he asked
“Yeah it does” Raphael answered. He got to his feet and pleased his sai where they belong and stared at the floor “Raph is everything Okay Bro?” Michelangelo asked with a some what small grin.
“Yeah I’m just going to go up top” he smiled a thin smile and left with out a word.
Donny and Mikey began to worry “You know ever sins that Winters thing Leo and Raph have bin a bit...”
“Spacey?” Donny asked
“Yeah like something’s buggin em” Mikey went to the kitchen to see if there was any pizza left. Donny felt the same, something was bothering the two of them and he didn’t like it.
“You know ever sins Leo left three years ago (a year past after the Winters thing) Master splinter has bin acting strange to like he had to do something…like” Donny sat in his chair.
“Like he was off training another ninja” Mikey laughed at the thought, but soon stopped. The two looked at each other in the dead silence “No it couldn’t be...cold it?”
“No it can’t be?”
The two thought about it really heard and burst out laughing “Who would he teach kids?” Mikey asked
“Yeah really little kids there the only ones that arnt scared of us”
The two didn’t know how close they where at gassing the secret there master was keeping from them then again none of them new what there master was doing these days any more. And that’s was worrying Raph and Leo the most now adays
Splinter came thought the door with a smile. The boys stopped and bowed to there father “Welcome home sensai how was your walk?” Mikey asked.
“It was wet It started to rain on my way home” he said with an old grin. He looked around “Where’s Leonardo and Raphael?” he asked.
“Leo went to the movies and Raph…He went out for some air” Donatello said.
Splinter nodded to the two “I think Ill go to bed I’m not as young as I use to be you know” Splinter said with a little hobble.
“You think he heard us?” Mikey asked
Donny shook his head “Naa he couldn’t have…”

April nights were never the best for Hope. They always meant rain, wind or more snow. But when the nights get wormer it would mean two of thought things and it was raining. Black blue eyes stared down at the glowing city below from the poring rain. Watching the area she called home. Glowing blue eyes moved its gaze from the city to the clouded sky watching them cry there little drops of tears that was the rain “So your sad to huh mum?” she asked the sky “I’m sorry that I filed you as a daughter” she said again
“Why does this have to be this way?”
She shifted her head to the side and asked the large gargoyle her question “What do you think? should I go and Say I’m sorry to him….Or just leave it be?”
“…”
“Your right I should go home and say I’m sorry” The red haired reptile lifted her self from her perch “It was nice talking to you…it helped” Hope said with a smile and patted the stone monster on the head.
Reaching in to her poncho she pulled out a pair of rose colored goggles, placing them over her black blue eyes and brushing her wet bangs out from under them. A small little smile placed it self on her lips. She left her perch on the building and took a dive like she was aiming for a pool but instead concrete.
“Mum please watch over me a little more Ill make things right again…I just need time”
“Time to fly”
Placing her fingers between her lips she made a high pitch whiles. Reaching inched to the ground a small puff of cloud caught her before she could hit the ground.
Hope was flying on a pink cloud, it was something that she made when she was younger for when she had to get around a lot quicker instead of missing the buss or getting to work on time it also helped to get away from the Foot but the cloud wasn’t being any help after a few days ago.
“WOOOO-HOO-HOO-HOO!!”
She sore bay a few buildings and pointed down taking a dive, Dow and down she went till she pulled up and wiped by people casing a little seen and then pulling up. She was having a bit of fun on her cloud till something caught her eye. She slowed to a stop and lowered her self on to a building. She sent the cloud away to come when she needed again.

“No get away leave me alone!” A woman in her thirties cried. She was stuck in a rock between a wall and six men with funny hair cuts.
“Sorry lady but we want you to play with us for a little while” A man with pink and blue hair said. He was holding a long bar in his hands and looked at her out of lust then with respect
“No go away I already gave you my money now leave me alone!”
“Again sorry but we would like some fun” he said with an evil look in his eye. He pined the woman to the wall holding her chin up so he could look at her better.
The rain soaked them both making the mood a little worse then it was before.
“Okay that’s bloody wrong!” Hope was ready to jump off the roof and squish the guy like a bug but there was something else that got her to stop in place.
“The lady said she wants you gone!” a clocked man said. He was wearing a western style hat, and overcoat and a pare of ripped blue denims jeans.
“And what’s it to you?” a man with no hair asked.
“Nothing really just in a bad mood and seeing you picking on a poor young lady its making it worse” he said. He tipped his hat up showing a bit of his dark brown eyes and his blue mask.
“Oh is that so?” another man with green hair grabbed him by the shoulder “I think its time for you to leave”
The masked man grabbed the guys hand and flipped him over.
“Gahah!” the punk was sent flying in to a garbage can.
“Like I said I’m in a bad mood so leave before I get violent” he said coldly.
Leo narrowed his eyes cores he would never do this kind of thing but then again the movie that he saw was worse then one of Raph’s jokes or mikes even.
Hope wiped her goggles to watch what was going on. From her vision everything was all blue. But that didn’t bother her much. She would jump in to save the lady if needed or worse the gang members.
The leader pushed the woman to the side and held the pipe with both hands “So you wana play do ya, Well fine by me!” he darted at Leo with full anger but it didn’t matter he was knocked down like the last one.
“You where saying about playing?” he asked
“Why you ********-“ a sharp blade was pointed at the leader’s forehead. Leo smirked at the smirk “Watch it now”
The Leader of the small group looked away and sat there. Leo looked at the woman and helped her up from the puddle she had fallen into “Are you alright Ma’am?” he asked her in a low voice
“Y-yes I am thank you” she said with a studded. Leo left the woman side and gather the money that was hers and hand it to her “Here you go ma’am”
She took it from the over grown Turtle “Thank you” she said. She fixed her little hat that she was wearing that kept the rain off her head and puts p her umbrella again knowing she didn’t have to run with it anymore.
Hope awed “aww that’s too cute he such a gentlemen” she said to her self with a little squee. Her small elflike ears perked. Her eyes narrowed at the leader seeing him get up and taking the knife the bald guy was holding. “Why that sneaky bloody bugger…” She fixed her hood of her poncho and slowly walked down the wall.
The rain didn’t effect her oily palms that she had it was good that she had the D.N.A of a tree frog and other reptiles, fish and some birds in her or she would have to climbed down the hard way. The walls where silk but her hands where dry as a whiles.
Tata tat tata tat tata tat went the rain as it hit the metal bars and cans. She kept quiet as she moved to the fire escape. She sat on the bar with her tail hanging over it. From her hood being over her head the only thing you could see where the rose colored goggles and her violet spots.
Slowly the other men got to there feet and followed the moves of there leader. The woman thanked Leo again and again but soon shrieked “SIR BEHIND YOU!”
“Huh” leo was knocked to the ground with a sneaky punch to the left. Landing in a pile of trash his hat fell off his head on to his lap. Wiping his lower lip he got back up “That was not a right thing to do” he said.
The humans looked at him “Look it’s he a ******** freak” the baled man said with a snarl. “This will make it all the more fun to kick his a**” the one with the green hair said.
The woman was scared now of both the men that tried to take her and of the man that tired to help her.
Leo placed his hat back on his head and looked at them all “I should have stayed home today” where his thoughts.
It was a look down between the human’s and the mutant Hope could have let it go on longer but she didn’t want to she had to but in at some point.
“Looky, looky what I see
A small group of men that are acting like babies
What should I do with these babies like men?
Should I hang them, cut them or send them over sea?” she sang in a cute little verse.
The men froze and one guy looked to the other “You don’t think?”
“No it couldn’t…”
“It could” she said from behind them. Hope had her head lowered so they couldn’t see her face but only the glow of her goggles and nothing more.
They took a step back from her, scared of the small girl that came out of no where.
“It’s, it’s, it’s, it’s,” one guy stuttered to say his sentence.
“It’s the demon from hell!” the pick and black haired man yelled.
Hope smiled showing her little fangs “Your right It’s me, ready to play?” she asked in a blood chilling voice.
“******** NO! WHERE OUT OF HERE!”
They bumped in to Leo who also had an evil look in his eye but it was not to them it was to her and it was scary all the more.
“Every man for them selves!” they cried. The men scattered like rats in the light bumping in to walls and piles of trash till they where out of the ally way.
Hope hid her fangs and just smiled shaking her head at the silly sight and shrugged “All I do is say a little verse and they go running I’m getting better at this”. She looked at the woman and Leo “You two okay?” she asked
The woman nodded “Y-y-yes…I-I-I” she held her umbrella tightly and just ran like the rest did.
Hope smacked her fore head “Oi Vay ….least she didn’t scream like bloody murder”
Off in the distends there was screaming hearing “HELL DEMON HELL DEMON!”
“I’m not a bloody demon I’m a mutant for cry’in out loud” hope mumbled
“You’re welcome” she said in her sweeten voice. She had her back turned to him and started to walk off
Leo saw Hopes tail “Who or what are you?” he asked. He took a step forward but she kept walking till she stopped.
“Nothing that you don’t’ kneed to know Love” she said
“Love...must be a British thing” he thought. Putting his swords away “Who are you he said bluntly.
The girl turned her head slightly to look at him from the corner of her black and blue eye that hid behind her goggles. She bent her head to let her hood show the tips of her nose “Hope” was all she said. She fixed her poncho and jumped to the building wall and climbed up quickly till she was out of sight.
Leo just stud there for a bit “Hope huh….Strange name for a Demon...”
“IM NOT A DEMA DEMON!!” she yelled from afar.
Sirens could be heard off in the dissents. Running ran out of the ally way Leo moved in to a crowd hiding and then disappearing.

They hid in the shadows away from plane sight moving from shadow to shadow; moving with stealth of the night and with the rain instead agents it. The only thing that could be seen from the shadows of the night and rain, where the whites of there eyes there red markings and the armor that they wore. This was the skill and power of the Foot ninja.
They had found there target but kept still and waited till she was alone. The foot had found her at this point but didn’t want to fight the turtle and the gang members, they had orders not to interact with them until the caught the mutant girl and bring her back to the labs.
Hope landed on another building a block away from where she had meat the mutant man. She hid under a water tower where it was dry and took her hood and goggles off. She rubbed her eyes and shook her head to let the extra water off. Being in the rain made her feel better and sins it was raining a lot this month so she was out more then normal.
The rain was letting up slowing down from its down poor to a light drizzle then it stopped. Demon like eyes watched the little drops of rain fall from the metal bars of the water tower. Blue orbs watched the dark night clouds finish its crying and moved on with its cloud like life. A small smile came and when she watched this.
One of the black ninjas moved slowly out of its hiding place holding a dart and a blow pipe. Placing the dart in the blow pope he amide carefully for the girl.
Hope sat down and sighed “I thought I got away from the other mutants…guess there are more out there then I thought”
Pit when the pipe.
“Ow what the hell..?” She felt something p***k her neck, removing what hit her she looked at it. “A dart?” She looked at it a bit but flinched. Her hands shacked when she held it. She saw something she wished she never wanted to see. Letting it fall she got to her feet “Where are you!” she yelled. Fear ran its fingers around her neck and around the rest of her body. She wasn’t scared of anything but the people that where after her was another story. She yelled again but it was in a sharp screech. Something that you would hear from an animal that would be torched or in pain something that you would not year from this world. She left in a hear keeping her guard up.
The foot moved from the hiding place. One picked up the dart and cheeked it. The ninja handed the empty dart to another. They nodded and send the rest after her.
“the poisons will works on her?” one asked.
“Yes but not for long her imunsystem is stronger then normal humans “
“So we have to get her quickly drug her quickly then?”
The nodded and moved quickly.

Hope jumped from one building to the next she didn’t bother using her cloud because they would just chase her down and shoot at her like they did the last time she used it.
Hope stopped at a street near 3ed. She rested for a bit. She felt tiered for some reason really tiered her body was getting num “Must hide..” She moved on pushing her body to do so.
In the near by ally Raphael sat on a pile of beaten and battered men, more poor souls that ran into the turtle that had more things on his mind then usual. Raphael stud up and stretched “Well I tink its time to head on home Father and the others must be worried or a sleep right about now” he rubbed his hairless head. Looked up at the sky “Looks like the sky’s clearing up”
Hope looked over the ally way and then at the other building that was across from it
“nee”
Hope took a few steps back it was getting harder and harder for her to move now but she had to get going. She smacked her face a few time and her hands and legs to get the feeling going long enough for her to make one more jump. She looked back her ears perked a bit “there coming…s**t” she hissed. Running she made her jump with a little help from her tail.
His eyes widen seeing a figure with a tail jump over to the building next to him.
Hope missed by an inch of the roof “YEEK!”
The turtle moved quickly jumping up one wall and onto another catching her by the waste and landed on the fire escape “Dame what the hell where you thinking you could…have…” his words were lost when he removed her hood.
“I was jumping now hide!” she hissed weakly. She couldn’t move her body anymore it was completely num from the dart.
Raphael snarled “And why should I?” he wasn’t the one to take order he would but he wouldn’t take them from a complete stranger.
“Just do it!” she showed her fangs to him. He flinch “Alright, alright I’m moving” He looked at the window that was next to him. Taking his sai he used it to cut a small circle big enough for his hand to go through to open the door. He lugged her in with a few grunts “Your heavy!” he said “Shut up and move faster” she snapped. She hated being useless in this stat she couldn’t even use her hands at this point to cast a simple spell now.
He held her and kept close to the window to see what’s going on. The foot came in quickly searching every inch of the ally way and roof. Raph listened closely to them.
“Where is she?” one said
“She couldn’t have gone fear not with that paralyzing serum!” another said
“Search ever roof top !”
“The foot ninja?!”
“Quiet or you’ll give us away” she hissed. Raphael glared at the motion less girl and watched the window. Hope closed her yes part way her ears flinched listening on the conversation.
“Cheek up there!” one ordered
“Yes sir” the ninja ran up the ladder checking each window. He was getting close to there hidings place.
“Take my hand” she said.
“What?”
“Just do it you over grown reptile!” she snapped “Gess some ones a bit bitchy” he took her left hand and held it up. He notes that her thumb and pointer finger where both violet unlike the rest of her hand that was just green.
Hope closed her eyes. Her lips moved but he didn’t hear a thing. They could hear the foot ninja was getting close. Her eyes snapped opened and glowed a bright blue.
“Shadows cover us” she said.
Raph could feel something being pulled from him he didn’t know what but it made him fell a little weak not physically weak but spiritchuly weak.
The foot ninja found the open window “Up here!” it said. They gathered by the window and went in.
Raph kept quiet hoping that they wouldn’t see them and if they did he would just get up and kick some butt like he always did.
“Don’t move” she said quietly. Her eyes narrowed as she said. She was breathing slowly keeping the spell in place.
“…” he kept quiet and did what the girl said. He wasn’t happy that he was listening to a complete stranger but it seemed what ever she was doing it was keeping the foot from not seeing them.
They looked in every inch but couldn’t find her. One turned facing them. The turtle moved his hand that held his sai up ready to throw it “Don’t…” she said slowly.
“But..”
“Just keep quiet love…” Hope said.
He looked down at her “I’m not your love” he said bitterly. What was he doing he thought. He was holding a girl that he didn’t he even knows and she was a mutant like him, the foot where standing right infrunt of them and they didn’t even see them.
The foot all gather in one spot “She’s not here lets move out” One said
“She might have gone to the north of here”
“Right move out!” they left thought the window. The two remand quite for a bit longer till they couldn’t hear anything out side. The only thing that they could hear where the splashes of old ran drops hitting the puddles.
Raphael sighed and looked down at the girl “Hay what did you just do?” he asked. Her he wanted answers now.
“Magic” she said lightly. She rested her head on his chest; she sighed lightly to and closed her eyes “Spirits of the shadows…thank you”
Raph sighed “you’re a strange one…” he said “I know and there’s nothing wrong with being strange” she said. She took a deep breath and sighed heavily “What’s your name?” she asked.
“Raphael” he said “What’s yours” he asked. He didn’t know what he answered her but it was better then quiet in the room that they where in.
“Hope..Hope Marin…” she said sweetly “And Raphael-“
“Call me Raph don’t like being called by my full name” he grunted. He didn’t like his name that much it made him sound like he was out of place in his family and the bad guy. Like the time Mikey pointed out when they where watching Zorro one night.
“Raph you can let go of my hand now” she said. Raph lets go quickly, she giggled a bit. And took in another breath Hope was tiered and she could move her hands a little but they only twitched a bit. A small smile panted its self on her face and she closed her eyes again.
Raph sighed “Hope…” he said. She said nothing. He said her name again and again there was still no answer. He looked to see if she was dead or not but it was something worse. “Great she’s sleeping….”
He sat here quietly he could move and leave here thee but something told him to just stay till she woke up. He didn’t know what but something was in him and nagged at him telling him to stay and watched over her.
“Looks like I’m sleeping here to night” Raph moved shifting his body so he had his leg up and his arm around her so he was comfortable he used her head as a pillow and sighed
“Well this is a fine way to spend the nigh” he said to him self. The turtle looked at her hands again and smiled a bit then went to sleep trying to not do anything bad if he could help it.
