What is it about humans that makes us try so hard to be remembered. We spend so much time and money on things like year books, journals, even blogs. It is our nature to want people we will never know to know that we once were. We have this uncontrollable urge to make sure that someone, somewhere, knows that we existed. We fear being forgotten more than we fear dying. Why? Why should we care about leaving some kind of legacy for a far off generation? Why do so many people, including myself, worry so much about the future, that we forget about what's important? Why do we forget about the present?
