A little bit of information about me:

[[This is a sample from a role play I did about a ball in the celebration of surviving a nasty pirate raid. My character happened to take part in most of the fighting back and defeat of more then half of the pirates.The only problem was, she was beaten at the last minute by a group of the bloody brutes...My characters are never immortal or overy powerful.]]

"Bloody Hell..."She exhasperated as she frustratedly tied the corset tighter. Well trained and pained by her knowledge of how to "look like a classic lady", Charly finished lacing the back and began slipping on a thick red dress. Surprised the oddly comfortable fit of such a tight fitted gown, she turned for herself in the mirror and inspected her outfit for any blemish or misfited piece at all. "Now for the final touches..."She whispered to herself opening a drawer in a small jewelery box by the side of her bed. Inside were various silver trinkets. Earrings, bracelets, rings of large and small stones, and a sinlge necklace lain on the black felt inner lining of the compartent. She pressed the red stone against her neck and nodded in satisfaction as she clipped it on. It hang just hung above the low cut of the dark crimson gown and above her chest.

Her hair was tied back into a curly bun of ringlets hanging down in various parts of her scalp[er...head of hair...]. With a light spurt of lavender purfume, the addition of a small amount of lipstick and eyeshadow "Oh! I almost forgot! Can't risk anoth'a raid can I?Wait...Why am I talking to myself, the answer's NO!"She conversed with herself quite loudly as she reached under the mattress of her bed and pulled out a small dagger and consealed it under the dress. The outfit she was wearing was a very specil design she devised herself. If, in the event of a raid or battle of some kind, she needed to fight, she would be able to take the gown off emediately to reveal the clothes she used during the last battle. She was even wearing her belt and hilt under the huge thing. The dagger would be safely stashed in the back of her tall boots and she would be carrying both swords undetected.

Nearly sprinting out of the front door, Charletta spoke to no one in particular with a dark smirk. "Let the show begin

Intro:

The gash on her left arm ate away at her as she nearly lost all sense of conciousness.Leora stumbled into a tree as she lost even more blood. There's no way in hell i'll be able to keep awake let alone stay alive tonight.... Her thought ended and she began to speak softly as her deep purple eyes began to close."come on...just a bit far...ther..."

Before she could even finish her thoughts, Leora collapsed at the base of a nearby oak. Her legs were sprawled out across the soaked dirt path as the unfailing storm continued to beat down on her.The clouds above showd no signs of breakeage as the thick forest swayed with the oncomming harsh winds.

Her eyes shot open as leora sat up rapidly. She was totally dry and warm with her arm fully bandaged and her small leather pack sat beside her on the sheets of the tiny cot.Paranoid, she examined the room for any sign of weaponry or danger for that matter.

The room she was in was small and dark, in exception to the small dresser and the tiny window. A small beam of light shined through the window revealing the busy streets around the building.

Leora stood up and dusted herself off. her hands waved through her dark red hair as she tied it up into a ponytail and calmly walked to the window. She peered out the filled streets. I must have been found. Great. That means i'm going to have to wait even longer....I guess this is what happens when you kill the Silver Phoenix... The emotionless look on her face soon disappeared when another soul entered the room.

You see, Leora was no regular human girl. She was quite the opposite actually.It wasn't too surprising that demon of high power such as herself would have had gifts such as that. Why was she on earth, you ask? It was the begining of the end being heartless.

Chapter One:Fallen God Rising

"So yer awake?"A deep voice rang from behind her.

A calm look appeared on her face as she turned around calmly and picked the sack up from the cot."Yes...I am..."She paused and turned to him.

At first she was surprised by his appearence. Because of the house she was in, she expected the owner to be just another ugly dirt covered peasent with a sick mind. Instead, a handsome tall man stood straight before her. His eyes made her feel as if he was staring right through her,they were so deep. He was tall, very undeniably tall. He might have been one year at max older than her or atleast that was one thing about him she could sense. His hair was a dark brown that appeared to be even darker in that light.He had some facial hair; a tiny amount on the chin and under his nose. he looked like a friendly person by the relaxed way he stood and the calmness of his eyes.

Moving a bit closer to him and the doorway she set the sack on the wooden dresser and said."Pardon my rudeness.Thank you for saving me...If you are the one who brought me here."she paused and looked up at him. He was maybe four inches taller than she was.

"The name is Leor-""i know very well of who you are and what you are journeying for."he interupted.

Growing interested, she replied."Well then, what are you getting at here?"she raised and eyebrow.

For a moment he gave her a sceptical, confused look and then glared for a short moment."To start, my name is Samuel Balfour.Please, call me Sam.I have something you've been looking for and in return for it, i wish for your assistance."

"well...."she paused and thought for a moment on the right words to reply with and became nearly emotionless once again."Let's get down to business...but before any of that, you know why i'm here?"

"yes. very well, i might add. And this is for you as long as you help me."He held out a small diamond-looking rock to her.

Her eyes lit up as she gently lifted it from his fingers. From her sack, she pulled a blackened gunmetal bracelt with a red rock shaped like a tear presed and held into it. She looked at the inner most part of the large cuff and revealed an odd unfinished heart shaped rock encased in it. The unfinished portion was missing three peices, until she pressed the small crystalized phoenix soul into one of the tiny slots.

You see, each of the five missing peices was actually one of five souls that Leora had been part of in the process of becoming a god. There was the human, dragon, phoenix, demon, and angel souls. each soul also contained a peice of her one heart; that meant that one peice was also one set of emotions and powers that,when all combined, would give her ultimate power.

"What is it you need my assistance with?"she folded her arms and began to walk out the door and into the street, her sack hitting the back of her shoulder with every step.

"Well....There's been some strange activity in the old Shanks mansion. Usually it's used as a meeting ground for thugs and theives but lately, more and more people have gone in and havn't come out.Recently, one of the could-have-been victims escaped. I don't know the exact story, but some of the latest rumors tell of a giant surpant-like thing dwelling in the basement.The bounty for it....Five hundred gold peices."He motioned for her to follow him.

They began walking out of the bustling town and onto a winding hillside path.the dead grass on either side of them grew tall and rattled against each other with each passed breeze.The two of them began to aproach a large beaten up old house. It was perched atop an old burnt hill with a tall oak growing to it's left mayber four or five feet away from the house.It's shutters slammed again st the widows and the door creaked open and shut as if it were from a classic horror movie.[[not to be created for awhile...]]

Their first steps on the weak cracked porch didn't seem to pose any problem or threat, that was, until they actually entered the house. Out of nowhere, an arrow of what apperaed to be purple poison sped towards Sam's face. Just before it could touch him, Leora stepped in it's pathway and waved her left arm out infront of his head.As the hand traveled up to about forehead height, so did a great, black wing.

"Oh and by the way..."she paused and let the purple blob drop from the seemingly untouched wing."Thank you for returning my Dragon Soul."

Sam nodded in amazement by this and then stared back out infront of them fightened and then , ironicly, extatic. Slithering before them was an around sixty foot serpant. From the cracks of dim light showing in through the tattered walls, Leora and sam could see the grey sclaes, bloodthirsty red eyes, and the large fangs on both the top and bottom jaw of the creature before them.

"Can you handly a sword?"Leora spoke quickly but clearly as two large swords appeared in either hand.

"yeah..."Sam got the message quickly and took a dark blue longsword from her hand. He set up in a position which appeared to be farely professional for him and then glanced over to her."so....how are we gonna ...never mind..."

Sam was interupted with a swit strike to the ground next to them. the head of the , what now appeared to be, cobra, samk into the wood sending massive chunks of floor flying around the large entry way. Leora smikred as she floated into the air. One pair of dragon-like wings were spread and her eyes had become a deep green.her pupils seemed to have shifted shape into small slits like that of another reptile.

Looking up at her as he dived away from the creature, Sam's eyes grew wide.he had landed on his feet and began to circle the now rising head of the cobra with great anticipation to it's next strike.Just let him come to you and then find his weak point.... He thought to himself and stood in a firm possition with his legs bent ready to jump out of the way of another strike.

Leora sat perched on the torn and split chandeleir above the two. Her wings had left her back now but her eyes and weapon remained the same. She silenced her breathing and fixed her eyes on the upper jaw of the serpant.Just a little higher.... She wraped her fist tight around the edge of the katana and began muttering some odd words in a different language. The katana she held then began to turn into a longsword nearly identical to that of Sam's.

The head of the cobra reached it's top height and began to come down fast in Sam's direction."Got it!"Sam yelled as he caught perfect aim and angle to strike it's neck. He dived to the right and then back at the snake letting the sword's blade cut through a small part of it's neck.

Leora dived down with great speed. She sent the tip of the sword through the space between the serpant's eyes. She stood on the back of its neck as it jerked from side to side trying desperately to shake her off.She darted off the back of it's neck with sword in hand.She grabbed Sam by the upper arm and pulled him out of the way of the cobra's flailing head.

Together, they exhaustedly left the house with releif. Sam sighed and sat on the ground he had a deep gash in the side of his calf.leora's eyes opened wide as she darted to the ground and hanld her hand over the wound for a moment.

"i'm truely sorry for this...it may not fully heal for awhile but you where to close to it's mouth."She closed her eyes and put her head to an angle over the gash.a small tear fell from her eye and onto the wound and the second they mixed, the tear began to heal it."Silver Phoenix tears are a powerful thing...although it may be hard to beleive..."she spoke softly as she tore the bottom half of the legs of his jean pants and began wrapping it around the healing wound.

"ummm..."He began to speak, clueless as to how and in what fashion to thank her with. "Thank you...Er...if you don't mind my asking, how many more souls must you obtain to become a god again."He looked at her now and weakly, stood up.

"Well...I have the Silver Phoenix and Angel souls, and thanks to you, i have the Dragon soul.That only leaves the Demon soul and the Human soul. I already know how to get to the human soul. it's a key that is actually already in my posetion but i have lacked it ever since i was born twenty years ago...."She paused and looked at him as she supported him from falling."sorry about that...I tend to trail off when talking about that stuff...."Her cheeks turned red.

Sam mumbled for her to go on so she did. As they made their way to the nearest village, she told him about her sorrowful past. she told him of her sending and regection from heaven and how she was murdered after she was born. Leora told him of the torture she under went during her twelve years in Hell and of her journay to become the gatekeeper.
