At first it starts with false hopes
The core of my heart grows dark with hate
Next come waves of failed love and joy
The darkness grows within my heart
Each wave is stronger than the last
The outside of my heart begins to erode
Waves of false joy and love leave heart ache in their wake
My heart starts to fracture as the darkness grows
Love that feels true and real washes across my heart
Each time it leaves, the fracture grows larger than before
Soon it all comes to an end, as my heart shatters from the pain of loss
All that is left is the vile and hateful dark heart that is the core
I embrace this heart and reject love, joy, and dreams
Embracing the hatred of my heart
My loveless, dark heart
