Paul Harvey says:
I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December. I don't agree with Darwin, but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his theory of evolution Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game. So what's the big deal? It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire book of Acts. They're just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.
"But it's a Christian prayer," some will argue. Yes, and this is the United States of America, a country founded on Christian principles. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches out number all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect-somebody chanting Hare Krishna?
If I went to a football game in Jerusalem, I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer. If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad, I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer. If I went to a ping pong match in China, I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha. And I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn't bother me one bit. When in Rome...
"But what about the atheists?" is another argument. What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer!
Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations. Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating; to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.
God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well ... just sue me. The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we let that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard, that the vast majority don't care what they want. It is time the majority rules! It's time we tell them, you don't have to pray; you don't have to say the pledge of allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right. But by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN!
God bless us one and all ... especially those who denounce Him. God bless America, despite all her faults. She is still the greatest nation of all. God bless our service men and women who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.
May 2005 be the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions. Keep looking up.

Wow. My brother, Tony, just came over. Serafine, Tony, and i all went swimming... oh yeah.. and tony's new puppy, Princess. She's so cute! He's only had her about 4 weeks, and she still has puppy breath! lol he's still the same person... just going into his junior year of college and the owner of a very nice convertible. Well, we went swimming and had a lod of fun. Tony and I got to talk and spend time with munchkin, Tony and I even had a watergun fight like we used to. It's was great, except our faces were burning >.< Even though we had sunscreen on, we could feel it. Serafine didn't of course.. lucky her. I still feel it... it's annoying! Well, Tony left and went to the gym and pukka is about to go home. I'm about to put some Aloe on my face even though I'm technically not sunburned, plus I have piano lessons soon. Talk to ya'll later!

I sprained my foot Sunday night at church.... (It was NOT my fault, it was JOSH'S!) Well, I've been on crutches all week... and got extremely irritated at the fact I couldn't walk normally and my whole body hurt. So, today I was dumb and decided I wasn't going to wear my wrap or use the crutches... BIG mistake. My foot hurt a lot, and was swollen when I got home. >.< I HATE THIS! I'm too friggin' stubborn and impatient for this stuff.

John 6:36 "I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty."
1. The Bread of Freedom John 8:34 -- Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin."
John 8:31-32 -- To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Romans 6:17-18 -- But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
2. The Bread of Hope
Revelation 21:1-4 -- Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
Romans 6:23 -- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3. The Bread of Mission
Matthew 22:37-40 -- Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Wow. Talk about long, tiring, but fun. Except for the fact I had to wear a dress two days in a row. >.<
Well, the first day (wednesday) we left school at 9:30 and headed for Alice. Its was fun, we watched Jurassic Park. (Yes! WE HAD CHARTER BUSES! ^.^)
The guys went first. They got a 1 on their performance and a 2 in sight reading. The girls were later in the afternoon...We got a 1 in both performance and sightreading... meaning... SWEEPSTAKES! ^^
Yesterday we performed as a mixed choir. We had the orchestra for of our songs... the other was a capella. We got a 1 for that. Then when went in to sight read. Dear Lord. The key was A flat with a dotted-eighths followed by sixtenth. We surprisingly got a 1.... which means TWO SWEEPSTAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^.^
We got to hear the recording today.... wow... I had no idea we sounded like that. I dont think I wouldve recognized it if I hadnt heard Greg and Clayton in the tenors.
Well, we're all worn out, so Im gonna go lay down and watch a movie. Au revoir!
