Why must people hate me because I am Pagan. I just lost a friend because he found this out and was too weirded out to even get to know me more. FML.
To all of you God-loving fanatics out there who never give people a ******** chance think about this:
You say that Paganism is a bunch of bullshit and that it's fake. It was made from the devil and that there are no old people or anything practicing it.
HOW THE ******** HAS IT LASTED SO LONG IF NO ONE HAS PASSED IT DOWN ONTO ANY YOUNGER GENERATIONS?
TWO. Neo-Paganism pre dates Christianity and Catholicism. So how the hell can it be of Satan when the original Pagans were practicing magick way before any of that s**t came along? Because some people came along and twisted one of the only well known religions out there into some sick mess, creating new Gods, Heaven, and Hell, along with new rules on how you should live your life and abide by some bull shitted book in which some close-minded ******** wrote. And for SOME reason if you practice witch craft, you go to hell and are a satanist.
It's not called Satanism. It's called Paganism. There's a difference, people. Come the ******** on. I normally don't rage about this s**t but someone this morn really pushed me over the edge. We get persecuted for doing what we love doing, in privacy and yet you still shun us and try to convert us. Even get mad at us for DOING THE SAME DAMMED THING YOUR ANCESTORS DID YEARS AND YEARS AGO. THIS s**t'S WHERE YOUR RELIGION CAME FROM. YUP MMHM. AND YET YOU STILL HATE US FOR IT.
SO THIS MUST MEAN YOUR WHOLE FAMILY LINE BACK IN THE DAY WERE ******** SATANISTS. YES, YOU'RE GOING TO HELL FOR IT. ********.
It had to have came from SOMEWHERE. It will never cease to amaze me how close-minded some people can really be. I mean do some ******** re search. For me, Paganism is about my spirituality and connecting with the Earth more than anything. Yes, it can tie into the occult in some situations.
No I don't summon ******** spirits. And NO I don't cut myself or anything. And I CERTAINLY DO NOT kill animals and sacrifice them. Hence one of the many reasons why we're called PAGANS instead of SATANISTS.
YES our Gods and Goddesses enjoy offerings but all we simply have to do is light a candle and say a simple prayer. That's it. Just like you do in a dammed church. You could get a little more creative than that by singing or dancing or expressing your love and appreciation in other ways but I don't take part in any killing or sacrificing a living being. And for those who DO take part in an action such as this, think about this next time you do it: An it harm none, do as ye will.
I mean really. I thought I was going to have a nice day today but some doucher had to come on face book and start messaging me about how when he first met me I scared him because I was goth, yadda yadda. And since he found out I was Pagan OH LORD HAVE MERCY SHE'S MADE CONTACT WITH SATAN. I used to be Catholic. But It wasn't for me. The children were rude and nasty and close-minded, as their parents were. And I refused to let myself be swayed into believing what they did, acting like they did, and becoming blind like they were.
I'm proud of my faith. I'm proud to call myself a witch. Back in the trials yes, people who did practice got burned because most of the Christians and Catholics or what have you were too ******** stupid to understand how things worked in their time. So they blamed the unexplainable on the unfamiliar. I know I am totally being one-sided right now but I really don't hate most people who believe in the normal 'God' now a days. It just really ticks me off that most who do are so ******** die-hard and up their own asses and can't see things for what they really are.
'My way is right and you should be just like me or you're going to hell.' ******** you. It was right thousands of years ago and that's how I will continue to live by. By doing what I think and feel is right. I don't care what you do. Just don't push your bull s**t on me and tell me how wrong I am because I have enough sense to be myself and not buy into all of your sheepish ways.
I see quite a few people wearing Pentagrams around this small town and it makes me so happy to see it. I give kudos to those who aren't afraid to show their faith. There is so much ignorance in the world today.. /sigh. Again with the religion being twisted. I wear my pentagram with the top point facing upwards. NOT reversed. THAT is symbolic of Satanism, NOT Paganism. The pentagram's used for symbolizing a mark of Pagan faith, purification, and a tool that's commonly used for praying and offers. Also more importantly seen on many altars.
NO an altar is not a place where you kill a bird or something and chop it's head off. It can be any flat surface and mainly you can just light some incense, light a candle with the choice of your own color and just pray or recite a personal mantra you came up with. It's used to pay worship to some deity that you favor. I personally always pray to the Triple Goddess, Athena, and Thor, while my friend favors Apollo.
People, if you're too scared of us doesn't it make sense to get to know us better. No... I forgot you always like to think you're the more correct ones and that we can't be 'right' no matter what we do. So go ahead and shun me. Shun all of us and hate us for keeping up with our faith. Wait until you have a child and they get into magickal studies. Or when you're shocked to find out your lover is secretly Pagan, or even Wiccan.
The energy you put out and your actions you show to others will come back to you threefold. If you obey this law, are smart about it, and kind, you'll get back only good. It's like Karma. What goes around comes around. Sorry, but I really do hope it comes around to bite you in the a**. Many always say 'Well if you don't want to be made fun of don't act a certain way' or 'don't dress or look like that and we'll leave you alone' Excuse me. What gives you the ******** right to tell us how to be when we're sitting here with our mouths shut while you think it's totally okay to bash us? We don't come out to you and tell you YOUR way is the wrong way.
Instead we respect you. I'm not going to ask for you to respect us because you're not good enough for that. So go ahead and think you'll always be the better person.
