1: Everyone has forgotten what it means.
2: No one actually laugh's out loud while typing it.
3: People saying "lol" or "lol's" or "lolz" while talking, ******** LAUGH!
4: All the sub-abbreviation that have come from "lol" such as "rofl" "lmao" or the good old classic "roflmao"
5: Using it after every sentence, example..
Person 1: What have you been up to?
Person 2: lol well blah blah blah blah blah LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111onoeononenoe!!!!111!
Person 1: I hate you.
Just use "haha" it's much better, and if you find something exceedingly funny a good old "AHHAHAHHAHHA HOLY s**t HAHAHHAHAHAH!" will suffice.
