((this is a dream i had a couple times))
so i'm walking down a street.
under a bridge somewhere in some town.
my clothes are tattered and worn
i'm scraped up and beaten.
i'm exhausted and worn out.
i'm just about to lay down and rest when i hear this scream
i turn around to see this creature
more beautiful than one can imagine.
but then i notice something really off about the situation
this creature has blood all over it.
not only that,but it has knives
i start to flash back into different scenes where this thing was cutting me
and beating me
only i let it
i was too intrigued by its beauty
and too convinced something that beautiful couldn't be malignant
i stopped in my tracks and stared full on at the thing
it kept creeping toward me,
ready to finish the job.
i had learned my lesson the first time,so i braced myself for the impact.
i was going to try to overpower it.
it came closer still.
my body started to tremble.
my weakness and meager muscles start to writhe in pain and tendernes
this creature,this thing, it smiled,knowing my thoughts.
i kept standing there,trying to hold my ground best i could.
it,walked right up to me,close enough to embrace.
i stared,feeling my heartbeat get faster.
its smile faded and i saw its expression change to that of sorrow and regret.
it dropped the knives to the ground with finality.
i finally couldn't take it anymore
i started to fall to the ground and i felt its arms around me
it had saved me from falling
i started to sob.
quietly and slowly.
letting out all my emotion.
after i was finished,i noticed that
the thing had sat with me in the street
and was holding me.
FINIS.
i think of that thing as love.
it beats you up and then comes back and makes up for all the hurt
when you're experiencing the pain,want nothing to do with it.
but when it comes back, you want it more than ever.
odd,i know. but its what i came up with.
