In the springtime,
the stream gently glides,
in a glittering, gossamer flow,
the newborn fawn bows her head to drink,
as the archer raises his bow.
In the summertime, the stream bubbles merrily,
as growing birds take flight,
the creatures hide in the shade of the trees,
and await the glittering night.
As fall approaches,
the stream trickles softly;
its water begins to chill.
The family of rabbits franticly flees as the fox attempts a kill.
When winter sets in,
the stream glaciates,
while the earth is enveloped in snow,
all the while the water lady laughs,
for she's the only one who knows.
