Improper Words
Slowly Dan made his way to the back of the room, as everyone staired at him. Even when he made his by a small group of people talking, they stopped just to stair at him and make their weird faces. After getting to the back, Dan placed his books inside the desk and waited for Mr. Chai Chung to enter the room. Shortly after the last student raced down the hall Chai Chung made his way into the room closing the door behind him, and then walked over to the translusent windows that resembled those you would place in your bath-room. As he opened the window, and rush of cool air ran into the room and mostly everyone started to complain very quickly about how it was cold.
As he scanned the room, Mr. Chai Chong noticed that Dan was the only student that wasn't complaining about the cold. "Now why can't you guys be more like Dan there?" he exclaimed. Dan looked up at the other students, Chai Chong had left it wide open for some one to make a comment. "Because we're not all fags!" Alex Calling, a rather built boy said (most suspected that he was on stariods), responded. The rest of the class giggled and laughed, some even started to agree with Alex's comment. Now if there was one thing that Chai Ching hated more than a studeny being late, it was that one of his students was getting picked on.
"What an interesting comment..."Mr. Chai Ching started, "I would say that I expected something better. But then again it was the boy who needs to look under a micro-scope to make sure he still has testicles." Now the whole class was laughing louder, and Alex's friends where hitting him on the shoulder "OH HO MAN! You just got burned by Chung!!"
Alex went to turn and look at Dan, to threaten him more than likely, but he was stopped by Chai Chong. Then the rummaging of something started to come over the speakers, sortly afterwards a voice fallowed "Please rise of the National Anthem" Slowly the class stood to their feet. Soon the school was filled by the sounds of grunting kids and the squeeking of chairs. In the classroom small groups of boys could be seen messing around holding their chests and making stupid singing gustures, somehow finding them selfs funny when they just look half retarted.
As the anthem ended the students let out a sigh because they knew they had to remain standing, and began to converse with one and other again, before being interuppted by Chai Chong. "Don't you guys ever shut up? I don't know why you talk more when you know i'm just going to tell you to be quiet." he looked semi-confused at the class as he spoke. The class looked up at him a slowly they began to quiet down.
Shortly after the same voice from the annoncements retured to the blackness of the air, "Please remain quiet for the morning prayer." Most of the students in the class roled their eyes at the thought, most of them weren't religious at all they had just come to this school because they heard it was better then most of the others...and cheeper too. As the other students sat in their chairs and sighed, Dan just staired out the window. Dan's seat was placed next to the only window that you could see out of, no one wanted to sit there because it was right next to the sinks, which ment they would be the most likely one to have to poor the un-needed chemicals or left overs down the sink. Dan didn't mind doing it that much, the sink was only four steps away from his desk.
As Dan staired out the window he could see that the out-door cafe area was completely empty, except for the random squirrels or birds that would venture in here and there. The shade that the trees provided over the benches was slowly fading away, leaving gaps inbetween the light. Small cement walls kept the tress in there place, as they cracked and chipped as time went on. The wind blew thrpgh the yard and picked up leafs as it went on, throwing them about like a disorder of lost papers. And like the papers, some one began to run after the flying leafs.
Dan watched as the child of 7 or 8 ran through the yard, and chased after the leafs jumping in big piles of them, as if he was jumping in puddles in the ran. His shiny black boots and yellow rain coat made him stand out from the rest of the backround, but some how he seemed to blend into it. The little boy looked down at the ground with his dark blue rain cap covering his face as he stomped more into the leafs he stood on. The fact that the world around him was cold seemed to not bother him, he was just a child lost in his play. The child jumped once more, he turned facing the wondow. A good looking yonge child, with dark hair, he stared at Dan...seeming almost embaressed but then sturn and slightly sad.
Dan's head shot back a little, was his mind playing some sick joke on him or is what he was seeing real? He stared back at his former seven year old self, not knowing what to do. Back then he really didn't have a care in the world that seemed to matter now, all he worried about was weither it was going to rain so he could go running throught the puddles. At seven you could be yourself and your peers would not care about who you were, but now those days were gone. As dan continued to look at him self throught the window, he seemed to be only looking at a reflection of before, and everything was stripped away from him again.
The little boy seemed some how disappointed with the new he was seeing, like he did not live up to what he wanted to be. Now he looked ashambed, and turned away from Dan on the other side, and as the wind picked up again the boy faded away, leaving Dan alone once again.
