Today was Mother's Day (May 13th). I had a pretty good day. Rested most of the day, which means that my five children were quiet so I could rest. I also got calls from two of my adult (step) kids. My kids, my husband, and my mom went out to eat this evening. It was a pretty good day overall. Yesterday, May 12th, we buried my grandmother. I miss her very much. I hadn't got to spend much time with her the past few years and she had been pretty sick, so it's best she isn't suffering anymore. My dad has been gone 6 years and my grandpa almost two. I still have my mom and her parents. I know the time is coming though and it scares me---i know it will be hard when my mom has to go through the loss of her parents. She didn't take losing my dad's mom very well. She was really close to her except for the past few years. There has been a family rift and I feel even more away from the family now that she is gone. I made a good connection with my brother yesterday though. I told him that I love him and he told me he loves me too. We don't express ourselves much to each other, so it was good that we did. heart
