It's been 3 days since I re-registered my account on Gaia. Let me just say that at its current state, it may be growing larger than it can currently handle. From any of the other online communities I have participated in, Gaia is currently in the lowest part of my list due to the lack of respect from quite a few of its community members and the conduct that they display. Are teens really this rude to one another now a days?
Of course this does not mean that everyone that I have met on Gaia display these qualities. However from surfing through the forums, interacting with other members and observing their interaction with one another through the towns and other means of communication, I find that most that I come across are immature with no respect for their fellow players. Swearing, sexual implications, bashing and bad mouthing are just a few of the many behaviors displayed and it really has gotten worse than when I originally joined a year or two ago with my old account.
I will continue to observe the flow of the Gaia community because I have been given reassurance from Gaia staff that they are working on the matter. I look forward to see whether they can re-build the current shape of this community.
