The Darkest Crystal
This is a story I've been working on and hoping to finish I'm not sure if the above will be the actual title or not so if you have any ideas let me know.I'll be posting little bits as I go. I hope you like it!
"Good Morning Colby" Billy said through a mouth full of pancakes and sausage. "Hey." Colby answered as he sat down and poured a glass of orange juice. He absent mindedly filled his plate and thought about the day.I wonder how many people I can make miserable today. Colby thought as he ate. "Hey! Colby! Earth to Colby!" Colby snapped back to the "real world" by Billy's persistent voice. "Huh?" Colby answered as he stuffed pancakes into his mouth. "I don't need a ride to school today." Billy answered. "Oh? How come?" Colby asked raising an eyebrow as he looked up from his plate. "I'm getting a ride to school today from Gina." Billy said matter-of-factly. "Gina, isn't she like a year older than you? And what happened to K.C.? Colby asked as he refilled his glass of orange juice. "Well me and K.C. are still friends. As far as Gina's concerned, you know what they say, 'older women make better lovers.'" Billy said with a mischievious smile. Colby just smirked and shook his head.

Sorry I haven't written in a while. I've been out of town and didn't have much internet acess or time. I promise to try and have another instalment soon.

The cold glass numbed his forehead but Colby didn't move his head from the window pane. "Silly idiots" he whispered to himself as he watched the people on the streets running here and there in the crisp autumn air. It's quite fascinating how such worthless beings can believe that they are so superior Colby thought as he turned from the window with discuss. "I shouldn't have to hide," Colby said irratibly as he looked in his mirror.
Piercing light blue eyes stared menacingly back at him. His green skin looked pale in the dim light and his lemon yellow hair shot out in every which way. His long tail twitched impatiently behind him. He laughed as he thought about the lecture the principle gave in the auditorium yesterday. "Don't worry about what other people think, because you are all uniquely beautiful and should be proud of the differences that make you who you are." Big talk from a man who would probably run scared if he ever saw Colby with out his holographic image inducer. "We shouldn't have to hide from them!" Colby said looking at the only framed picture on his desk. It was a picture of Colby's little brother, Billy. Colby had never seen anyone else look so mischevious and still pull off the innocent angel when they smiled. Billy didn't look any different from any other kid; but he was special and different just like Colby.
No those people on the streets were no different than that so called mother of his. The way she looked at Colby when he walked through the house without his image inducer. She shouldn't look at me like that Colby thought bitterly as he angrily snatched a shirt out of his closet. She's the reason I'm like this Colby thought as he jammed his arm down one of the sleeves. If she would've listened to the doctors I wouldn't be different. Colby jammed his arm down the other sleeve with disgust. He fumbled with the buttons on the shirt in blind anger for a few moments. He stopped and took a deep breath; anger was power but not if he couldn't control it. Calmly he buttoned his shirt and headed downstairs.
