Today was a special event over at the Kitsusagi thread. The idea was that Nanook would post a picture of an egg, guardian orb, or red gem (which will later turn into random gifts), and the first person to post afterward with an "I want that" or something to that effect, would win the item. I tried several times during the day to get something, for myself or for someone who tried to get me an egg.
Unfortunately, I have horrible luck. I fell asleep minutes before the egg I wanted was posted, hit a lag in the connection each time I tried to post an "I want that," and then the biggest bump of all: my dog killed a porcupine. This meant I had to pull the quills out of my poor mutt's face, chest, and legs, so I wasn't going to be able to participate in the event. I let Nanook know, amused at my sour tidings, and to my surprise, she simply handed over a guardian orb! So Shatava and I will now be able to communicate with one another through the little guardian creature, once it comes out of its orb anyway.
And then my luck seemed to change. My dog bit me in his pain, so I took a break to let him calm down. While I was breaking, Nanook posted more guardians and red gems. I responded as quickly as I could, not really expecting to get something. But I did! See? Eventually this gem will turn into a note letting me know I can come pick up an item at the shop.

Nothing bad happened today, though for various reasons, I've been very tired. Tomorrow is Thursday, and I expect I'll be a little worn out by the time it's over.
