Would it hurt if your best friend wouldn't tell you who she liked? Of course it would! What about if she had a very good reason, and as soon as she told you on the spur of the moment, you understood? What if you wanted her to take it back now? What if the circumstances were this:
1. You were really good friends with the guy
2. The guy liked you
3. This was the third time this happened
What would you tell her? Would you try and comfort her, knowing that she was hurt? Would you wonder why this was happenening to her for the third time, the guy she likes, likes you?
