A Shaman of the Valley, one who can communicate with the Spirits and borrow their power. One of these was Eon's sister, Wyvernchild's mother.
At a very young age, the Shamans of the Valley saw the potential in her; her spiritual energies flowed greatly. She decided that the life of a Shaman was the life for her.
Shamans would often aid the members of the Circle. It was during such a case that she fell inlove with her husband, a Circle member. The 2 loved each other, and therefore married. Soon after, the Shaman was pregnant.
About 4 months into her pregnancy, after a small calm in the Valley, the members of the Circle were called. Giant reptillian creatures of great power began moving into the Valley. Their size caused slides, and their flames caused fires. The people of the Valley feared for their homes, for their loved ones. Something had to be done before things went terribly wrong.
The creatures resembled dragons, and breathed fire like dragons, but werent dragons. They looked different, and therefore were simply refererd to as "drakes". These creatures were extremely powerful, so all of the Circle members were sent to the outskirts of the Valley to fight them.
The creatures were truly great. They were magestic, beautiful. Their eyes, yellow, glowed. Their reptillian skin, purple, hard enough to break some swords. The way in which they breathed fire, much more beautifuly than dragons. The Shaman's husband, Wyvernchild's father, led the attack on them. As he led, he felt sorrow, pity, for having to kill such beautiful beasts.
The fight for the territory began. Magics were cast by the Children of the Valley. Fire was everywhere. Drakes and Childrem flying about, slashing with their weapons and slamming with their tales. Wing flaps echoed through the Valley, explosions could be heard by the Shaman in the village.
The Shaman's husband, as a leader would, confronted the biggest drake of all. As smoke and the smell of blood filled the air, the warrior fought the drake with all his might. This drake was clearly the most powerful of all. They fought and fought, but the efforts were for naught; it was a stalemate. The 2 stop fighting for a secong and look around. The Children of the Valley, injured. The drakes, on the ground, still, unmoving. Dead or dying.
The warrior saw this, and sorrow took over his face. He was on the verge of crying, yet not for his injured comrades, as he knew they would live, but for the beautiful beasts which they had to cut down. The drake saw this, pity from a human. It understood. And it spoke to him. "To think that a human could feel pity for a creature not the same. For centuries we've watched. A rare sight it is."
"You can speak. Into my mind. You understand me then?" the warrior asked in shock. "Tell me drake, why did you come here?" And so it answered; "We were migrating North with our pack. A storm, a powerful one, separated us from our Den Father. These are my children, they followed me here as a human child would a human mother. I led them here, for it looks like our home."
"You caused landslides and fires, injured some of our people," said the warrior. The drake answered "It was unintentional. Though like our home, it is smaller. We were trying to adjust."
"Can you leave? If you go now, I'll let you leave. You can join the other drakes from which you were separated", the warrior suggested."No point now. My children...they are dead, or will soon be. Nothing can be done. There is nothing for a mother that's lost her children. I shall die here with them. And, human, it is wyvern."
"Wyvern?" he asked, to which the creature answered "Yes, wyvern. We are wyvern, not drake. Now I beg you, end my suffering. I have seen my children die, and I am injured. Would you let me die in battle with honor, and not wonder alone and die like a coward?"
The warrior had to agree. He couldnt believe that these creatures, these wyverns, could be so...human. "How should I do this?" he asked. "I'll burn my children" answered the wyvern, "it is our way if the child dies before the mother, so their essence can return to the flame." "And what about you?" The warrior asked. It answered "I want to die like them, in flames. However, a wyvern is immune to its own flame. Set my wings on fire, and then end my pain by cutting my heart."
It was silent for a moment. The warrior agreed. The mother wyvern flew over her children's bodies and set them ablaze, then returned to the warrior. He then set the wyvern's wings on fire, and looked at it with sorrow. He couldnt stop thinking of how beautiful it looked, with its yellow eyes, purple skin, and flaming wings. With a nod, he readied his sword, and pierced where the wyvern had instructed. As the creature fell to the ground, it whispered him, "Thank you human. If I find it possible to thank you once I pass, I will." Looking at the magestic creatures they had slayn, the Children of the Valley could not help be feel extreme sorrow.
5 months passed, and the time came for the Shaman to give birth. She gave birth to a girl. Her hair was a beautiful purple, her eyes a shiny yellow. Like the skin and hair of the wyverns the father has slayn. He could feel it in his daughter, the prescence of the wyvern, the essence of its fire. "Her name shall be Wyvern." Everyone agreed to this name.
As Wyvern grew, her personality seemed more and more like that of that great wyvern. Determined, strong, caring, protective, yet strict. Her power was also just as great, and would only become greater. When she was 12 years old, Wyvern got her wings and was named Wyvernchild. Her wings, always on fire that burn only what she wants to burn, proved that her essence was indeed that of the great wyvern.
After her cousin Antel's death, and since her cousin Angel had no wings, she was chosen leader for her generation, which would be guided by the elder Eon. Loving her cousin, knowing how badly he wanted to be accepted, she agreed to letting him be leader. He was the self-proclaimed leader, after all. She promised Angel that she would help him as best as she can, and will help him gain the respect and recognition he deserves.
