Young Karei, a brilliant 13-year-old redhead. She always had her hair in two pigtails, but now it was in a bun with parts that looked like a flower, a burning fire. She was at school the day before, like always, but then after her party at home with her
Clan, her parents gave her an egg.
My name is Karei, and this, is the story of the Elemental City.
It all started when I turned thirteen, my parents gave me my presents and the rest of our family had cake. It seemed like a normal evening in our 3 story high house. Our clan, the Doragon Toreina clan, was a big clan. We never had any financial problems, or any other problems for that matter.
Each year one of my clan members disappeared, then one came back at age 20, but they left at age 13. I always tried to find out what happened, but I didn’t after my parents handed me an oval shaped present, while all of the clan watching. The present shacked, and that made me rip the wrapping off, to reveal an egg. I gaped at the shaking egg, and soon the egg split perfectly in half, revealing a small Gwee.
I named him Flare, because of my love of fire, and the fireball that he shot at me. Thankfully the fireball was puny, so I simply put my hand up to block it. A strange thing happened when I raised my hand, the fireball seemed to melt into my hand. I gasped, and looked at my hand. It had a small picture on it,

I gaped, and then showed it to the clan, they all applauded, and two large men came up to me. ”Lets go.” One of them said and my dad handed me a green knapsack. My adventure had started.
