Way Too Star Crossed pt.1
Here's the first section of my story. I hope you enjoy! Sorry about it being in one large block, but when I posted it, all the tabs and enters got removed somehow...I'll be more careful in the future!

It was a dark, warm, summer night the first time I met him, and not long since my death and rebirth. I hadn't fed since I had woken up that morning. It was late into the night now. The hunger was gnawing at my veins and I could tell that my self control was too weak for me to wander the streets. Just leaving the room I had been in took too much effort. By the time I finally found my way out of the labyrinth of hallways, I was exhausted and figured that I should rest before seeking out some easy prey. I had just leaned my head against the wall when I felt someone pause at the entrance of the alley. He slowly entered and then slipped into a patch of shadows half way between the street and me. I wasn't concerned much until I realized that he was playing the silent observer. That's when I decided that it would be best for me to introduce myself. He looked like a good meal. I gathered a small amount of my power and moved. I walked toward him as seductively as possible and he stepped out of the shadows as I approached. He didn't appear to be looking for sex, so I gently probed the edge of his mind. I could tell that he would be tough. I would have to use a small mind trick on him. When I was less than ten feet away, I sent him a compulsion. It was supposed to make him want to kneel before me, but it didn't work. In fact, he shattered the compulsion. That should have been my first clue that he wasn't human, but I was hungry and was getting careless. All I wanted was a meal. After sending the compulsion, I quickly closed the distance between us, hoping that it would work. When he had fought off the compulsion, I slowly walked behind him. He didn't turn to follow me or keep me in his sight. This either labeled him as a fool, or it should have been the second sign that he wasn't human. Slowly I leaned forward so that my lips were close to his ear. "You're fighting it," I whispered, "but you can't fight forever." Then I reached out a finger to run along the back of his neck. Things didn't go quite as planned. The instant that my skin touched his, I felt a stinging shock of pure, untainted power. You know, the whole "good vs. evil" type. Well, that's what it was; good. As soon as I felt the power, I broke contact. I had not only felt that disgustingly clean power, but I felt hate, and it wasn't coming from him. It was coming from me. I remember backing away in a state of anger and shock. He ran down the alley, only to disappear into the darkness. That was the last I saw of him that night. I had lost my would-be meal. My hunger eventually got the better of me and I went in search of prey, and answers. I learned as much as I could about his kind. Enough to know that he was as young as I was in his new life, if not younger. He was a young angel, just as naive as I. Neither of us knew that the event that happened that night would change our new lives forever. This is my story. The story of Kiana Marie Brannigan, a young vampire banished from Hell.
