Ever had one of those moments where you think you're being perfectly reasonable, and someone bites your head off?

Today I was looking over a "display" submitted a few days ago by "Jennifer". I had been happy to see it finished well when it arrived, and until I was comparing it to another, related "display" also done by "Jennifer" only a day later, I realized that one "word" was a tad out of place. Now this is something I could personally fix in 3 minutes, but since it was her work, it would be unethical of me to do so. So I put in a request for her to adjust it. I offered compensation for the time involved and admitted that I was being nit-picky, but that it made the entire "display" seem unbalanced.
The response was far from polite. It was actually strangely hostile. She said she didn't save the incredibly complicated program parameters she used to make it, that yes I was being too nit-picky. Her "art" doesn't work that way.
Okay, yes, I said I was being nit-picky. But I was paying her for this work. Not much, but I was still the customer. And I have to say, that I lost quite a bit of my respect for that work by finding out that she was so inflexible. A simple fix that someone could do in 3 minutes in MICR0S0FT PAINT, and she couldn't do it because she only knew how to do it the way her swoopy program does it? I wasn't asking for a total re-do. A quick white-out and re-paint of a 10x10 pixel area was impossible?
That's like. McDonald's saying Sorry, we can't just ADD pickles to your cheeseburger now. We only know how to put pickles on when we're doing the entire assembly process. We frankly couldn't cut an actual pickle with a knife to save our lives.
You know what, I still could have lived with that. I could have heard that and gone, Okay, no biggie. But she felt the need to further defend herself with some of the lamest, retarded excuses I've heard in a while. She suddenly sounded like a third grader. It's hand done, and that makes it unique! The reference material wasn't perfect either! You liked it well enough when you got it!
I don't think I'll be sending any of my "money" to "Jennifer" any more.
