Okay, from time to time I dabble in poetry, as I like to dabble and experiment in various things to see how I like them. These are some odd things I've come out with...
<center>Whispers
A whisper in the shadows
My mind clings but does not hear
The heart yearns and misses
Yet is it there?
The name that haunts and eludes
Yours, my beloved
How long have I loved you?
Are you there?
Or are you just a whisper
a game the shadows play with my mind
It torments me to think
I love and miss,
one I cannot be sure is there
Surely it will drive me insane
Perhaps for you it is the same
My name haunting your mind
stirring the deepest part of your heart
Yet not really there
driving you slowly crazy
what a labyrinth fate is
endless paths to walk
meet me in the middle
and maybe we'll find each other
to be together
finally sure that we were not insane.
Waiting
Waiting,
Holding my breath, my eyes shut tight
a whisper under my cold breath
your sweet name
telling you, I am waiting for you
Waiting
Chills spreading my my bones
tears frozen to my face
wondering where you've been
thoughts that I am waiting for you
Waiting
Fury burning my shadowed soul
A heart of passion pounding in my chest
angry with you
furious that I'm waiting for you
Waiting
I don't know why you've gone
far away from my now empty arms
Never to return
Despite that I am waiting for you.
Till Death Do Us Part
Young, wild, free
We'd laugh together
Cried together.
When tears of sorrow tore
at my insides
You were there, wiping my tears
You made me strong
kept me going when
I wanted to call it quits
I was there when you
found your love
Soothed the pain when it left.
Together we were
Till Death Do Us Part.
Two sisters, Gemini
holding on in the darkness
two friends seeing through
It would never end
We would go on
Never parting
Till Death Do Us Part
I went away from home
far away, finding my own way
We've always come out in the end
no matter the cost
I think maybe I've died
You are not here
I call for you
I know you hear me
But still you do not answer
Have you left me alone?
In a sea of darkness
fighting to stay afloat
in a madness that is driving
me further away
Why don't you answer, sister?
I've come to realize
a part of me had died
for as we've parted
two different souls
two sisters that were once one
that death has come
Taking half of me, the half that died
drowning with you
Now I must bury you
Keeping only the memory
when we were
Youn, wild, and free
When it was all,
Till Death Do Us Part
Together or Apart
Pushing. Arguing. Snapping. Brooding. Screaming.
The eternal fires of twin passionate souls,
flaming against all of the senses
Until water's soothing control
is nearly lost
Whining. Crying. Sulking. Complaining. Pouting.
The world that has forever done you wrong,
injustice falling heavily upon me
to hold to nothingness
that will overrun
Falling. Abandoning. Confusing. Hurting. Separating
Feelings that have long made you and I close kin
beating together in slow desolare harmony
even as we push each other away
into deep darkness.
Soothing. Comforting. Whispering. Loving. Embracing
A sweet forgiveness that balms the soul's wounds
wiping away the torrid past for memories
never to know the other path
of forever apart.
Siren of the Isle Cliffs
Across the tavern is he who has soulful brown eyes
bright and so whimsical was his lush smile
filling her soul with such wonderful dreams
A heart so young was at once deep in love.
Come away, come away
My sweet darling true
So I can hold you
from from dusk till day's dawn
Not long after sailing away, without his goodbyes
Taking her soul with his treacherous guile
leaving her alone after playing his schemes
No longer a sweet girl, no more an innocent dove
Come away, come away

from dusk till day's dawn
Torn through the deep from the cuts of his lies
She left her home for the cliffs a long weary mile
her life fallen apart at the seems
from the jagged cliffs she fell, far to the waves of the cove

Centuries passed and her sorrow with the tide still ties
Beware the song on that very small isle
The song of the cliffs is not what it seems
From the mists you will lose, and fall from the cliffs you did rove
