The Nephilim created Kogashi-Tsume to end the battle of good and evil. In his quest to defeat Kurushii-Akuma, a demonic rival, Kogashi had to retrieve a legendary sword to overcome Kurushii's magic. Upon obtaining the sword, he was visited by the spirits of fallen warriors telling him of the true purpose of his existence. Infuriated that he was just another of the gods' pawns, Kogashi-Tsume turned his back on his creators, the Nephilim. Unable to completely abandon the path of good, he now wanders the world in turmoil, hunted by the spectres of all realms.
