Creaking, cracking, bending, the stairs started to give way under my feet as I creeped up the stairs, my flashlights beam illuminating less and less the further I went. Breathing hard, I froze as soon as my only form of comfort flickered out. Great, I thought shaking my flashlight a few times trying to get the beam to come back to life.
