"I've been waiting a while..." A man cloaked in black walked over to the edge of a cliff. The man was tall, with a fiery color in his hair. His eyes under shadows cast by the hood. He held an odachi in his right hand and an amulet in the other. "...It's about time I faced my destiny." He jumped deep into the canyon and into the heavily wooded area below.

A man was hiding nearby where the hooded man jumped. "My my, i knew this day would come. The day when Musashi Miyamoto will live again. The man scurried away into a dark forest and disappeared.

The cloaked man traversed the maze-like forest and came across a tiny village. "I guess i should lodge here for tonight." Cloaked man said to himself as he entered the town. He entered an inn where a kindly old lady greeted him. "Welcome, we haven't had any visitors in a long time, will you be staying the night?" The old lady said. The cloaked man nodded and said "If that's alright with you, I however have not a lot of money that i can offer you though." The cloaked man went to the counter and gave all the money he could spare to the innkeeper. "I hope that is enough." He said.
"It is alright, by the way, what is your name? It can be very lonely in this place, you're the first soul I've seen in the past few months. "The cloaked man paused for a moment. "...Yamato, and thank you for housing me tonight." He said.

Yamato went to his room and changed his clothes, he left his odachi by the window. Before he went to bed, he went downstairs to the kindly old lady. " I was hoping hoping to find some information on 'Shadow Reapers,' might you have any information on those?" Yamato inquired. "The old woman thought for a moment and said. "Some shadow reapers came to this town no too long ago and killed many of the villagers, including my husband. Right now it's only been me and my daughter who have been running the inn. You look like a handsome young man, would you like to meet my daughter?" Yamato paused for a moment, at his dojo there were no girls allowed to train amongst the boys, it has been eight years since he had seen a girl."Uh, sure..." He said hesitantly.

The old woman summoned her daughter to the counter.As her the old lady's daughter came down the stairs, Yamato's eyes met hers, he stared at her amber eyes. He blushed as she smiled at him. The old lady smiled and said, "This is my daughter, Nagato, she is probably the same age as you." Tamako, stared at her for a while and finally bowed down and blurted out "I'm Yamato Suzuhara, it is a pleasure to meet you." He managed to say nervously. Nagato laughed, "You sure a funny one." she laughed again. Yamato blushed and thought to himself "Darn it, what is wrong with me?"

"Would you like to join us to dinner?" The old lady asked amidst the awkward moment. "Uh, sure." He said. They went to the dining area, it was rather empty and dark but at the same time sort of cozy because of the fireplace. "Sit down you two, while i ready our supper." The old lady said. She walked away whistling the tune of the "Oscar Myer theme song."
It was just Yamato and Nagato in the room, alone. "Your clothes seem unfamiliar, where are you from?" Nagato asked. "I'm from Oured, the capital of Osea. Living there was boring so I came here because i heard of the shadow reapers." Yamato said. "I plan to do battle with them."

Nagato stared at the amulet Yamato had. "Is that some sort of lucky charm?" She asked. Yamato held the amulet to eye-level. "This amulet helps me peer into one's soul" He answered. "Would you like me to test it on you?" Nagato hesitated for a moment. "Fine, but don't try to do anything
funny!"she said. Yamato looked into his amulet, and was amazed to see what it had reveiled. "There are so many conflicting memories, but you seem so carefree and nice..." He said. Nagato looked at her feet. "When the shadow reapers killed my father, i was happy. He had been hurting me for too long and he got what he deserved." she said. Yamato thought for a
moment. "I want to come with you." Nagato said. "I want to leave this village."
