She was born Abigail Shai Theobold. However, after her mother's death and a falling out with her father she changed her name. This change was at the age of eighteen. Her mother, Cynthia, died of a disease that Nora later found through hacking into her father's classified files to have been caused by her own father. It was this discovery that tipped the balance and forced a final confrontation between herself and her father. It ended badly and lead to her being labeled a murderer after her father's supposed death. With this heafty label on her head, despite her innocence, she was forced to hack into an international database and clear her former name and remove the label from her new name.
She is intelligent with a surprising amount of knowledge on technology. She is self taught in her particular interest. Her interests reach far and wide. After her move from Earth to the Citadel she took a special interest in other species, particularly Turian after she landed a job as a sort of secretary for C-Sec. However, no matter her interest in other species she finds that she often offends other species, though it is not intentional. Hence, she normally keeps her mouth shut during work to avoid conflict.
When it comes to romantic interests, she doesn't judge based on race, species, or looks in general. In fact, what attracts her to others first off is the sound of their voice. She is a fan of mid to deep tones. However, this isn't the deciding factor. She takes into consideration her own personality and possible clashes. For example, she doesn't like messy people. People who can't keep things in order.
