Country is still going to hell- but what can you do, besides petition? Horrible bills like CISPA, ACTA, SOPA, makes you really wonder who are the intelligent people in this world.

But that's not what this journal is about. This journal is about art! I know I haven't posted recently, and for that I apologize. I finished my GED course, passed my math class- but it wasn't enough to get into BYU-Idaho, so I'm taking a temporary break and then I'll be transferring my credits to Grossmont.

My sister got a kitten a while ago. She's a cute little demon, I won't mention her name- but it's pretty hilarious. wink
I've taken to baby-sitting it. Well, me and my own fat cat Tennessee. She adores him, he hardly tolerates her. This morning the little brat decided to ditch my sister's room at around 6am to come bug us. Thankfully she was still tired, so I woke up to two cuddling cats by my feet. Wish I'd had the Nikon to take a picture!

I'm looking forward to Pixar's new movie Brave. So excited for it to come out! I want to see it in the theater! biggrin This May I'm going to Potrero for War! It'll be my first time going, and I hope it'll be a fun experience and I won't be too dead tired by the end of it. 3nodding


What do you consider art?

This is what Dictionary.com says.
1. the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.

I'm glad they said 'or' instead of 'and'. Basically, anything you do particularly well at can become an art. Society might not view it like that- a good majority of people say that it's just drawing or painting pictures, sculpting, or dance. That's a lie. Art is anything you want it to be! Don't let others' views obscure your own!

What type of tutorials would everyone like to see? There are literally thousands out there!
Does anyone else find Walkthroughs just as helpful as actual Tutorials?
