Chapter One
"Silveeeeeeeeeeeer..." Said girl's eye twitched. Quite a number of times. Damn onigiri.
"What is it, baka?!" Silver whirled around, if her hair was longer Ebony would've had a face-ful of hair, seeing as she was so close. Typical Eb.
"Heth has to go out to buy new mech stuff for Agent Heth. I think she said something about his limbs rusting or something... But anyway, she said that the place is faaaar outta town, so she won't be back for a couple 'o days. Oh, and she took Prince with her, so we're two waiters/resses short." Ebony chattered, hopping onto an empty kitchen countertop, her legs dangling off the edge.
"Well, we should be okay. We've got the others." Silver answered, rolling her eyes. She continued trying to make a success of her latest concoction: White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies. She had just put them into the oven, fully aware of the unwavering gaze of her cookie-loving friend.
While the two were in the kitchen, Panda and Terika were serving the slightly-larger-than-a-handful of people outside - they always got the most customers during brunch, and it was currently lunch, so the small rush of customers had already left. Ah well, it wasn't like the cafe was meant for that many people anyway, there were only five tables with four chairs each. Twenty customers. As if that moment, two tables were filled. They'd never gotten anymore than fifteen customers, so they'd never had to worry about extra chairs and whatnot. None of the staff was complaining though, people liked thier stuff, so often ordered a lot. It paid the taxes.
Aries was currently upstairs, waking up Angel.
"Hey...Heeey...Heeeeeeeeeeey!" Aries put her hands on her hips as Angel completely ignored all her attempts at getting her out of bed and simply rolled over. Sighing, Aries decided to go to her last resort. She pulled a large pillow out from under Angel, and promptly whacked her with it repeatedly. "WAKEUPWAKEUPWAKEUPWAKEUPWAKEUP..." Thus, after deciding that she couldn't take the hitting and yelling anymore. Angel finally got out of bed, a smug Aries following her downstairs after she got dressed and ready.
By the time the last of the lunch customers were out the door, all of the inhabitants of the cafe were lounging around on the bottom floor of the building.
"Ugh, why'd you hafta wake me up if we're not gonna be doin' anything?" Angel moaned as she rolled over on the coach, grabbing a nearby plush pillow and napping on it. Aries just shook her head as she dug her fork back into her angel hair pasta. Silver and Panda were sitting at another table, one sipping her traditional tea, the other drinking honeydew flavoured bubble tea. Ebony wasn't far away, munching on her small plate of cookies. The rest of them were on a large platter on the counter for whoever wanted some. It was a quiet afternoon.
And then the sound of three small beeps cut through the silence. Panda looked at Silver. Silver looked at Ebony. Ebony looked at Panda. They quickly exited -grabbing thier ideal weapons on the way out- without a word, the others were used to these events often enough to simply wave a hand and watch the cafe for them.

"So, what d'you think she wants us to do this time?" Ebony asked as the three of them made thier various ways up a tall building down the street and around the corner from the small cafe. She was flying, duh. The fairy wings sticking out of her back weren't just for decoration.
"Dunno, not like it's all that different, anyway. Always the same kind of person. Rich, maniacal, cruel to animals-" Panda was cut off. She was slowly roping herself up, having thrown the end of it -the hook- over the edge of the rooftop already.
"-And people!" Silver cut in, she was leaping from windowsill to windowsill. Being part-cat came in veyr handy sometimes.
Alright, by now, the reader should be informed on what was going on. With the small amount of customers coming in and out of the cafe would barely pay the taxes. Honestly, even if they bought a lot, which they usually did. So Eb, Silv, and Panda got roped into a job they would've refused if it weren't for the excellent pay.
They were almost like assassins. Almost. None of that killing sort of stuff (not on purpose, anyway). They were much too young for that... Well, not really. In Gaia, anything was possible. They just couldn't kill. What a bunch of girls. So they just left the victim unconcious for a couple of days... or weeks... Once they did thier job so well that the man was in a six month long coma. So that's what they did, beat the crap out of the people they were assigned to eliminate. And if that person didn't learn thier lesson, then, the boss would call the elite team, who would get rid of them permanently.
"'Nichiwa, Nekra-san!" Ebony greeted as the three of them climbed in through the window. Panda and Silver said thier hellos right after they helped Ebo up - her foot got caught and she fell on her face right after speaking.
"What do we have to do this time, Lien-san?" Silver asked. The odd part was the fact that she felt as if she were talking to herself, since her last name was the same as that of her boss'. What was even odder was that the boss had two younger brothers -twins. Very handsome, helpful twins who often popped up just in the nick of time to help the girls out in sticky situations. The younger twin was named Synni, the older Silver. Silver Lien. Identical to Silver's name. Ironic, isn't it?
"I'm sending you three to a boarding school a few towns away from here. It's very elite. There's a few people there who are in quite some need of assistance." Nekra's brown eyes glinted red behind her slender spectacles. The beautiful Japanese woman - only twenty years old - owned her own empire of high-tech weapons and vehicles. What they were and who she sold them to were a complete mystery.
"A boarding school? How long will we be there? We need to run the Cafe too, Lien-san..." Panda asked, a hand on her hip. Hopefully Nekra meant for them to only visit the school for a normal one-day mission, not another long-term. They never got many of them, but every few months or so Nekra put another one on them. Their longest so far was two weeks straight in a high class hotel. Sounds great, but they got a grand total of five and a half hours of sleep those two weeks. Damn poltregists. They were alseep for three days straight afterwards before the staff forced them to work again.
"Don't worry, you'll get some sleep on this assignment. You've already been enrolled," Nekra pulled out a crisp white sheet of paper, "Ebony-kun, you're excelling in archery. Silver, you're major is martial arts. Panda, you're swimming. I've hacked the school's computer system and have rigged all of your classes so that you three all have the same lunch, and first and last period class. Your lunch is third period, first is mathematics, and last is science." And without even waiting for so much as a "but-!" she waved her hand...And the floor disappeared.
They fell.
And landed.
On something soft. No wait... Pluralize that. They landed on the Lien twins. Seventeen years old. One mature and incredibly handsome, the other childish making him look younger, more cute-ish, although still handsome.
"We wanted to catch you guys, but you all fell a bit sooner than expected..." Silver blushed. He was perilasly close to Panda's chest. Now, if only she would move. PLEASE.
"Get OFF me Ebony, you fat-arse! OW!" A series of yelps and thumps as the two punched each other. And then Panda adruptly forced herself up, making the other two on top of her go flying. The twins, although a bit flattened, were okay.
"So..." Female Silver looked around the room. The room itself was bare save for a red circle drawn in the middle of the floor, looking to be four-by-four feet. The walls, however, were neatly filled with various weapons. Synni grabbed an expensive looking bow and a pack of arrows. Black with thin, silver designs across it. The arrows were the same. He tossed them to Ebony, who caught them clumsily.
Next, Silver grabbed four shuriken and two kunai, opposite in looks to Ebony's gift - Chrome with black designing - packing them into a small case and giving it to the female.
Synni then grabbed a small container. He, once again, tossed it to Panda. "They're waterproof contact lenses. You can snap photos by blinking three times fast. As in, less than a second." Panda grinned, pocketing it.
By then, all five of them were standing inside the circle, they had subconciously moved into it. Once the last person stepped in - Synni - They were transported out of the building, to the front entrance of Nexyn Academy.
