So close but yet so far

Standing, waiting...you’re all alone. No street lights just the darkness closing in on you. You scream no1 hears you, your all alone....help me. U try to run but fear holds u tight, consuming u for all the life you give. You break free through hope and run. Safety in sight but the fear grabs u and holds you back. So close but yet so far. Help comes but it’s too late and all is lost, and so they scream for they cannot take it. Life, so close but yet so far!
