Problematic happenstances of life.
I write about things I think about, if I feel like it. I wish to advice the odd reader that might stumble here that I am not an authority of any kind. I write from what experience I have, from my point of view and that is certainly very limited.
Mushrooming
The nearby forests are brimming with mushrooms, but I rarely see anyone out there looking for them. Only the chanterelles seem to disappear occasionally, but other than that...

This area used to be mushrooming grounds for my friend's mom a couple of decades ago, so I'd assume someone else would also be here, but it's just my roommate and I it seems.

Good for us though, there are so many boletes, milk caps, brittle gills and various other delicious ones waiting for us. Today we're going to go look for funnel chanterelles, also known as yellowfoot or winter mushrooms. They're plentiful this time of the year, just a couple of weeks ago we found nearly a basket's worth! And it was just a tiny area in a big forest!

I can't wait! But for now, breakfast.
