I don't know why I would post anything here, journal or Gaia. I have no friends from RL who go on here regularly. I have no shop, part in a roleplay, no actual friends on here. emo Yes I have two friends in my list but one hasn't even posted yet cos shes so disinterested in Gaia and sataniam... I just don't know neutral .
Today I saw a video about animal testing and vivisection. It struck a cord with me and my eyes were watering in the most graphic places. I was really motivated to do something about it but as soon as the lecturer said what we can do to help my aspiration were gone; Become a vegitarian and buy non animal tested products. ********! The last one's a bit of a no brainer and doesn't feel like my bit toward helping the animals. I want to DO something, not buy untested cosmetics, hell- I don't even buy cosmetics!
Vegetarianism... I respect vegetarians but I feel I couldn't resist some lamb with mint or my mum's homemade burgers. What I think is the same old arguement: We are omnivores, therefore we eat meat and plants. HOWEVER omnivore's description does not include the enslavement and mistreatment of animals. Hunting is a fact of all animals lives, animal protestors argue that as the most intelligent species we must choose to not eat animals, but WE are animals. What right does another animal have to be able to eat meat that we don't have?
It's those beliefs that make me wonder; what actually can I do? If I do protest I won't be taken seriously, I think. Its a mild case of hypocrosy.
