Well Yesterday we had marching band finals. I wasn't really nervous at the begining but I did when I got onto the field. I should start from the begining shouldn't I?
Well it all started when I woke up at 5:15. Fifteen minuteds later than I wanted. Well I laid in bed for a couple minutes thinking on what to wear. I heardly just decided to go take a shower first. So after I took a shower I decided to blow dry my hair. Yeah I dont really do that a lot but its cold outside!
Well after I blow dried my hair I hurried and went upstairs and changed into my band uniform. I was really nervous that I was going to miss the bus. Well After I got dressed, I hurried and made some scrambled eggs just the way I like them. Not burned, and not runny. After that I hurried out to my moms car and waited for her to come out. Minutes later after locking the house up we got into the car and left. It was almost 6:30 AM. And I had to be on the bus at 6:30. Well we got stuck at a couple lights.
After that we were able to get to my school faster. I was still late but I atleast got on the bus. I was really cold though. Well I had to sit next to my friend, Michael, who really is like anti-social around others. Soon after the bus started I fell asleep sort of. I was there but not really. Get what I mean?
Well anyways, we stopped to eat a snack and we all wished each other good luck. Then we got back onto the bus and everyone started to sing the 2nd song, Satisfaction by Benny Bensai, it sounded really good. Then the bus driver said to do it again and she'd put it on the outer speaker for anyone to hear. It was really awesome.
Well we finally arrived and unloaded the buses.and we had to get into two straight lines. We then followed that till we were at our practice field. Well after we were done practicing we were interviewed by the news which was really cool.
After that we went down to the entrance of the field. It was really steep hills and it sucked! Well after that we were down at the field and I started to get really nervous. When it was finally our turn me and my friend Alex ran to the other side of the field. We sat on the field for the first two shows. I was really happy. I mean it sounded good to my ears and all but one of our electroics vocals weren't working. It was supposed to say "Finding the rhythm, the rhyth of the beat." I think.
Soon the last song approached really fast two fast for me. But soon me and alex and another girl were running to the spot we had. I only had 24 counts to get there too. Well we got there and we both had a ribbion for the runners to run through (color guard). After that we watched the ending of the show.
Soon we were pushing our props out right after the pit. When we got to the spot where we had to come in from we were thinking, "Oh crap!" Because the plac we came down from was a steep hill and we now had to push the props up them really fast. Soon we were pushing and pulling with all our might. Our calfs were buring and we were out of breath. After that we had to go down to get our pictures taken with the bad. I just wanted to drop dead. After that we went up the stairs of the stands.
Up the stairs we got our pictures taken and it was really cool. I then wanted to go see if my Ex was here. My dad had said he'd pick her up and bring her there. I was really happy. She got to meet my other friends and after that we got food and stuff.
Soon after a few bands played we waited for the finals to be announced. We won seventh and an award for something I missed the name of. But it was really sweet. We could have done better but whats happened, happened. Well after that I called my mom to pick up my ex seeing as my dad is a cheep person.
Well my dad left leaving me and my ex there. It took my mom a while to get there seeing as a lot of the streets were blocked off. Soon my mom found us in the rain, the freezing rain. We stopped by a gas station and got something to drink and after that we went to taco bell.
And well thats a bit of my interesting day i might tell you the rest another day... Hmm well got to go make some gold for a nitemare scarf ^_^
