Path, Anatomy and Cats, oh my!
Oh myyyy goodness. I just got home from work, and after a long day of classes and such I sure am beat. I spent most my day trying to calm people down, there's an air of tension running through my school and for once it's not just because of all the estrogen. October has quite literally been the month from hell, we were hit with test after test after quiz after assignment and I dunno what's up and down anymore... There' been 3 since school started, major tests I mean, and another on Wednesday and then one more on Halloween. Well.. two on Wednesday, but they're in the same subject.
It's a stressor I tell yeah, memorizing and learning all the bloody bones in the body and each and every landmark on them. It's no easy task let me tell you. We survive though, the course is too amazing to give up, and I haven't had a mark below 80 so far, so Im very happy indeed. But now the two left... looming over our little heads are frightening and scary.
It's Anatomy Wednesday, theory in the morning, just stuff like... appendicular and Axial skeleton (all the bones n such) ligaments and fascia... Nothing too too hard, just study... really can you go wrong? (Watch Im typing this and I'll end up failing!)
Then there's the all mighty test of doom. WIth a partner you go in and in ten minutes you have to palpate 5 bony landmarks. Starting elsewhere, you need to verbally describe where you are going and such, and then you are sent to a room in which you will wait. After there is enough of you, you will be taken to another room, where there will be a number of stations set up. This whole thing is called a bell ringer. I dunno why, it just it.
At each station there will be a bone, sternum, Ulna, Scapula... and pieces of tape placed allllll over the bones. You are given a color and must go to each station and name the landmark marked by your tape... on the pelvis alone has something like 21 landmarks... sweet. Im excited!
Haha well, Im not spazing out like everyone else. We've gone over it so much that it seems impossible to fail (again I state that and watch I will) But really... the more you stress the worse you'll do... that's my theory... so I'm kinda chillin.
Path on the other hand is gonna be an interesting go... 2 months worth of stuff, 27 lesson plans... oh joy of joys... haha thats my life so far, work and studying.
Gaia is my break... but maybe I'll go read Fables and then work on my cue cards...
Meep!!
It's all good though, tomorrow I have Maht's class (massage and hydro therapy) so I get a massage at school, not that that is different from any other day.. but still!
It's an exciting thing, it is it is!
That's all for now kids... wish me luck and all, I'm not scared!!
