I live in a world–
An upside down world –
Where the sky is the ocean –
And the ground is the sky.
It only looks like this at one time
And in one place.
When you enter my world,
It does not seem like much
Few people are about
Who are probably all visitors
To my beautiful home
Just like you.
Rumors about my world
It is busy and noisy
A living hell where terrible people live
And where bad events occur.
You may see the bad side
But Light cannot exist without Dark
Good cannot exist without Evil
And Day cannot exist without Night.
So come and follow me,
As you explore my home.
We move deeper into the heart of my home
Where you would find more people
Although at this time,
Most of us are busy.
Wait awhile
For the rush to arrive.
Look and watch as the clock strikes the hour.
People rush out eager to return
And relax in their homes.
The streets and sidewalks are busier
The subway is fuller
The noise gets louder.
This is the place outsiders talk about
The world you believe in
The place illusions are centered around.
Meet me
At one of the most famous places in this world,
A spot where people love the view
For the place is high in the sky
And you can see almost everything.
As Light turns to Dark
And Day turns to Night,
You enter a different world
From the one you saw before
This is our world.
Welcome to our humble home.
On top of here,
You see the many lights
The city that never sleeps.
Our sky is totally black
Without the lights of stars hanging there
So the lights become stars
While night becomes light.
Many around us are quiet – in awe –
For you see the true beauty of the city
From up here
Nothing can hurt you
So it is a cool, peaceful sanctuary.

This is why
I love this world so much.
Because everything is here
And we are all in sync.
