Think of the vowels in english a- what the doctors asks you to stick out your tounge you say "ah"
e= "a" as in apple
i= e as in egg or each or eat
o= o octapus or other
u=oo as in opps I just stepped on your foot 3nodding
the saying un burro sabe mas k tu
don't say to anyone speaking spanish they'll take it as an insult sweatdrop

lesson #3 days of the week- Los dias (I has an acento (accent)which can only be over vowels)
Los dias de semana- the days of the week
Monday- lunes (think lunar)
Tusday- martes (mar and tes)
Wensday- miercoles (first e has an accento) think Miracle
Thursday- jueves (remeber j is an h sound so it's more like hu a vase)
Friday- viernes (be-air-nes)
Saturday- sabado (first a has an acento) (sa ba do)
Sunday- domingo (think flamingo)

the slanted line over a letter(always a vowel) is an acent uit means to accent the letter
a wavy line(~) over a letter (always "n" wink is called a tilde and it gives the "n" a "y" sound

What day is it? (note: the e on "Que" has accento also "dia" has accent on the "i"
the answer: Hoy es....
Today is ....
2. ?Que dia fue ayer? - what day was yesterday?
(accents in same places)
fue ayer- fwe i-y-air
Answer: Ayer fue...- yesterday was...
3. ?Que dia es Manana? (tilde on the first "n" wink
What day is tommorrow?
Manana- min-y-na
answer : Manana es....
es=states of "is"
like :the book is red.
