Many people I know don't understand why I'm so fascinated with the Japanese culture. "Why are you so into that Japanese anime stuff?" I answer, "I dunno, mom." "Why do you want to be a geisha for Halloween? Why not something normal... A cheerleader or a cat?" I answer, "I dunno, dad. I just like geishas." "Ew, how can you eat sushi? There's raw fish in there.... and seaweed!" I answer, "I know, Grandma. It's good."
I'm fascinated with it because everything there is so exotic and cultured. Here in America, we really don't have a single culture, unless you consider being in debt and obese a culture. I'm craving culture, and people who are smarter than the ones in America. No offense, America.
