My new favorite thing to do on Gaia (aside troll the market place for cheap clothes) is to PM people who make RP requests on the Barton OOC forum. I know it's a horrible generalization, but the people on there seem to have a head on their shoulders and it's a lot nicer than trying to talk to the users that hang out on the chatterbox and make threads about masturbation.
Speaking of which, I need yaoi RP so badly my brain could explode at any moment. It shouldn't be a problem to find some seeing as a good 50% of the threads on Barton OOC are users looking for a one-on-one yaoi role-play, but there's a catch! 99% of those people will only play uke. What's up with that?
I think whoever invented seme and uke should be shot for ruining something as tits as yaoi with lame, formulaic gender roles. IT'S TWO MEN! ONE OF THEM SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE THE WOMAN! Maybe I just don't understand how yaoi works, but it seems to me that having a man who acts just like a woman would take a lot of the point out of putting two guys together. Why not just write het?
