Phone rang. Beloved daddy yelled, "Saya, another one of your friends on the phone. You'd better hurry, I think it's an emergency. She might have run out of lip gloss."
Vair vair amusant, daddy.
As I came down the stairs, he said, "We mean no harm, take us to your leader," because of my hair rollers. He really is in an alarmingly good mood.
It was Kagura. Oh boy.
"Saya, can I ask you something?"
"Er, like what?"
"Well, you know Cam?"
DID I KNOW CAM???!!!
I sounded a bit vague. "I know Cam the female in our school, but Cam the boy...? Oh er, Cam...yes now I remember. He's my boyfriend. What about him?"
"Well, you know I really think he's cute and so on and he did the sniffing hair thing, and that was, you know, quite cool and not, you know, uncool...and how I have thought he is quite cute and hair sniffing would, like, mean he thought I was cute as well..."
(It was going to be the twenty-second century at this rate by the time she got round to telling me what she was on about.)
"Well, anyway, I have come to a decision."
"Yes, and...?"
"I am going to confess, Saya."
"Go on."
"Er...Cam is pretty cute."
"...coming from my best mate to my boyfriend that's pretty--"
"I like him and I'm stealing him away from you. I'm sorry."
