Assholes of Gaia: Well, we all know there are a lot of assholes out there. But I figure it's useful to keep track of them, just so I don't accidentlaly deal with them twice--and so that you out there can avoid them, too. Not that anyone's reading, but hey. Today's entry is: Dabogrl, from Gaia's Tree CityMy post: Quote: 3. What's your favorite primary color? (For those of you who failed first grade, the primary colors are red, blue, and yellow.) Actually, science has advanced a lot since you were in kindergarten. The primary colors for printing (subtractive) are Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. The primary colors for light/displays (additive) are Red, Green, and Blue. My favorite would be cyan. She then replied by calling me a "b***h" for pointing out that, OMG, she'd gotten the primary colors wrong. I replied by pointing out that this sort of language was considered 'abusive' and a violation of the Gaia TOS. She subsequently deleted the offending posts and appologized by banning me from the thread. That's right, she violated the TOS, and then punished me. What an a**.

Today I learned something quite useful. If you're going to be an elitist snob, do actually have the intelligence to back yourself up.
There's nothing funnier than a troll with no concept of grammar or punctuation shouting about how great he is.
*Sigh* Sylphi, dear, you do need to stop baiting the trolls. Even if you do have a habit of boring them to death.
(It's quite another thing to be an elitist b***h when you do know what you're talking about and you're not a moron.)

Well. I've been here quite a while, and have successfully joined the Elf Haven Guild. It is a good place, with suitable work for an elf such as myself. The inhabitants are friendly, if horribly tall. Erlin wouldn't have approved at all, though Frey would have fit right in.
Conversation tends to be quite lively, which is generally enjoyable. I've had the good fortune to make a number of new friends. Hopefully Erlin, Frey, and dear little Lethe will be able to join me soon. I am sure they would like it here.
One of my friends, meanwhile, gave me this cute little panda backpack. Isn't it great? ^_^

Today was my first day in Gaia. People seem nice, though I've yet to find any work.
The bank, curiously, does not actually offer any banking. However, it does function as a government bureaucratic office and issues business permits. Apparently the system here has grown so corrupt that they no longer require any paperwork or qualifications to go into the trading business, merely a 500 gold bribe to the bureaucrat at the front desk!
The lack of work has me a bit worried. People in this country seem very poor--in fact, several of them approached me looking for handouts, despite my obviously impoverished state. Personally, I'm saving up for a pair of shoes.
I wonder if the local economy is in some sort of recession?
The countryside is also curiously almost entirely uninhabited, and the only local industry seems to be fishing. All of the products sold around here must come by boat from some other place with production factories.
Perhaps there was a war in which all of the factories and other forms of economic production were destroyed and the countryside depopulated...
At any rate, I suppose I shall simply have to wait and see.
