had to do these for a class. ^^ I'm happy with them. I think my teacher thinks I'm deranged... blaugh
Truth (Simile) Truth is like a bar of soap Cleaning, scrubbing, until your skin is raw. It clears you of all the silly notions That may have been caked on During some loving relationship. As the stained water Goes down the drain, You are surprised to see The dirt and filth That you hadn’t noticed before. Yet, for many, This soap may cause some irritation, For although you’ve been cleansed Of all ignorance, The soap was too strong, Causing uncomfortable chafing.
Love (Metaphor) Love is a cow, Born into this world With so much promise And so much potential. Let to graze in an overly green pasture, This cow provides milk, Plentiful milk, Sweet and wholesome. As the cow continues to feast Upon the bounty laid before it, It stands around, Defiling the pasture with it’s Steaming cow pies. As time goes on, The milk is taken against its will, And just as the cow Is sickly, its ribs Sticking out through its leathery skin, This cow has become obsolete And is soon served to you As ground beef.
