“Die Braiddan” a deviant voice shrieked, piercing the tranquil night. Braiddan apparently was the red haired man with red eyes, concealed by half moon tinted glasses, standing in the middle of the woods trying to pinpoint where exactly the voice came from. Finally the owner of the voice reveled itself by charging out of the woods, presenting a rather large spider shaped abomination diving towards Braiddan. Quickly unsheathing a shorts word from the back of his belt, Braiddan sidesteps the attack of the spider and manages to drive the blade of the sword into the creatures abdomen. With a yelp, the creature backed away from Braiddan, but the creature did not realize that it was stuck in place, snared to the ground by its own shadow. Suddenly , the creatures shadow started to stretch width wise, pulling each one of the spiders legs while doing so, then all in one moment there was a snap and a squishing sound signaling the spiders legs being ripped from its body. Braiddan walked up to the head of the creature and then suddenly drove the short sword into the head of the creature killing it. Yanking the sword from the beast head , he wiped it against the grass, cleaning it off, before placing it back in its sheath. Braiddan sighed as he rummaged through the pocket of his red, baggy pants pulling out a scroll. He opened it and then slammed it against the ground, causing a blinding flash of light disappearing.

Another blinding flash of light appeared in a place hundreds of miles away from that forest. Once the light faded away, Braiddan emerged looking up at a large tower labeled ‘demon hunter head base’. it was not obvious that he was in the safe haven known as Xion. Braiddan walked toward the tower and entered seeing something that was really out of place, he was in the office of the head priest of the demon hunters, Niko the younger. “back so soon, Braiddan?” he asked as his mouth curling into a smirk. Braiddan looked over the room critically and smirked as well. “apparently, you didn’t even have the time to come up with a proper illusion. Your office is on the tenth floor not the first.” Niko smirked gains but his face went serious. “putting this illusion aside, we have a problem. Damen’s forces have extended beyond the SOFI Republic, which means the war has extended beyond our borders. They have invaded the kingdom ruled by queen Vidian” Braiddan stared at Niko for a short while “the vampire nation? From what I heard we disgust them. This is a problem indeed” Niko nodded and slid Braiddan a manila folder with both the D.H.H and SOFI Republic insignias stamped upon it. “yes, this was why I was reluctant to give you this mission. But as you can see upon the front of this folder Lady Supreme has lorded us to send a diplomat to Vidianna to ask for negotiation for an alliance.” Braiddan took the folder while listening to Niko his face remained indifferent after he was done talking he looked up. “When am I to go on this mission?” he asked looking down at the folder now. “Immediately, inside the folder there is a teleportation scroll for there and one for the trip back. Try to be back as soon as possible but if you are invited do not turn down their hospitality and please don’t come back until we have a straight answer” Braiddan nodded as he pulled the scroll out and threw it against the ground and he disappeared behind a bright flash of light.

Braiddan appeared in a wooded area with a castle looming over head. He sighed as he pressed on heading in the direction of the castle his eyes wandering making sure nothing tries to ambush him. As his mind wandered suddenly, a voice invaded the inside of his head ’do you think this is a good idea? They are probably more unwelcoming to us than they are toward Damen’s forces’ Braiddan sighed as he stopped in his tracks answering to the voice aloud. “you ‘re back again? I thought you left after my first mission.” Braiddan had an exasperated tone in his voice ‘Isn’t it customary to answer questions before you ask one yourself? Any way I cannot leave you, I am part of your soul. You’re stuck with me!’ Braiddan let out and annoyed sigh as he continued to walk not talking to the voice figuring he would be quiet if he did not talk to it.

Nevertheless, unbeknownst to Braiddan, talking to the voice had already attracted attention he could have avoided. A figure suddenly emerged in front of him; it was a tall female with jet black hair. Her equally black eyes glared down to him as Braiddan stopped in his tracks. “who are you and what in the hells are you doing sneaking around the kingdom?” Braiddan looked her over, by her armor he could tell she was of high ranking. He did not hesitate with his answer “I am Braiddan Mel Oficias II , second class demon hunter and representative of the SOFI republic. I am here for negotiation for an alliance.” the woman now glared at Braiddan as if she suddenly got a bad taste in her mouth. “You are a long way away from home, demon hunter. Queen Vidian said nothing of any such negotiations; she had an extreme dislike for people who show up uninvited.” her voice was dripping with venom as her glare became more piercing. Braiddan, not fazed by this ,responded . “I’m not here to start trouble. I am here to try and put aside out differences at least until the war is over.” the woman narrowed her eyes once again before sighing. “Alright I’ll take you to the queen. However she, will be less than pleased with your presence. And if you try anything you will have a hundred guardians down your throat.” she then got behind Braiddan pointing a long sword to the back of his neck. She pressed it against his back making him move forward. She stayed right behind him telling him to turn left or right every so often.

The castle only happed to be a thirty minute walk. Once inside they walked down a long corridor where more armored vampires were present. They kept walking until they reach a large door and opened it. YThe room looked to be a throne room , and one the throne, was a female vampire. Braiddan could not help but gasp at the sight of her, she was the most beautiful creature Braiddan had seen. She, however looked at Braiddan with little interest as she looked to her female guardian behind Braiddan. “Velika, search him’ she ordered as she turned her attention to a silver haired man with green eyes. Velika patted the sides of Braiddan as he extended his arms making it easier for her. She took his sword and dirk and threw them to the floor and then reached inside his jacket and found the folder before picking it up. She shook her head as she threw it back down to the floor. The silver haired man finally looked to Braiddan and asked “You look familiar, hunter. Who are you?” Braiddan turned his attention to the individual “My name is Braiddan” The room went quiet; Vidian smiled a real menacing smirk. “Well, aren’t I a lucky girl? First, I am able to hire the demon slaying legend Drage, and now the famous Demon Hunter Braiddan comes to my kingdom. You are a lot punier than I imagined though.” Vidian smirked as her mind wandered for while. Braiddan looked to the silver haired man. “So I’m guessing you are Drage Seeno” At that, there seemed to be an unbreakable stare down between the two until Vidian spoke again “Now, now boys as much as I’d like to see a fight between you two I think Mr. Demon Hunter might be here for business” Braiddan nodded as he broke his gaze with Drage and turned his attention back to Vidian. “Yes SOFI would like to sign a treaty of alliance with you”

The smile from Vivian’s face faded as she practically glared a dagger at Braiddan “Lady Supreme must have a shorter memory than I! Last time we signed a treaty with SOFI we greatly regretted it. And now they think we will sign a treaty with them just like that?” Braiddan sighed before he spoke again “What would it take for you to consider an alliance with us?” At this Vidian smiled wide, with one little tantrum the ball was in her court by the time Braiddan realized it, it was too late. “You as my new guardian” Braiddan shook his head quickly. “I’m afraid I can’t do that, majesty” Vidian got up from her throne walking toward Braiddan then stopping just in front of him. She extended her arm and had a finger graze his jaw line as her face went into a cute pout. “Why not?. Would it really be that bad? You won’t be sent to every end of Fo-bia and you get to do what you want in the kingdom. And there are plenty of beautiful women to look at…even though it looks like you’re satisfied just looking at me” She smiled and bit her bottom lip and turned around walking back toward her throne swaying her hips as she walked before she slowly sat down. Braiddan was silent for a while, sweating slightly staring at Vidian before he finally answered “Alright you win” At that Vidian jumped from her throne and clung to Braiddan driving her teeth into his neck. Braiddan gasped as he felt his own blood rush out of his neck. A sudden warm sensation came over him as he felt a familiar feeling, the brink of death. Vidian finally unlatched from his neck as he place her wrist on his mouth making him drink her blood now. After a while she finally pulled it away. “You are one of us now. If you ever try to renege of your end of the deal I can kill you with a simple snap of my fingers.”

Braiddan nodded his head then bowed to own knee lowering his head “ I shall remain loyal, my queen” Vidian smiled as she told him to rise then looked to Velika. “Show him around the castle and show him his new quarters” Velika motioned Braiddan to follow her as she left the throne room; Braiddan did as requested and followed. On the back of his mind he was worried if Drage saw him being turned, he didn’t want a potential rival to see weakness in him. “Don’t worry he didn’t see it. You know you did a lot better than most men when Vidian laid on her charm. Most men faint at the sight of her”

Braiddan was lead all around the kingdom before Velika finally showed him is quarters. Which was really just a bedroom. He walked into the room as Velika smiled. “Well I guess you better get some sleep it is two hours until sunrise. Good night, I’ll be heading to my quarters now…Unless you want some company” She smirked as she was standing next to the door with a playful glint in her eye. Braiddan shook his head as he walked over to close the door. “No thanks, I’m too tired right now” He then shut the door and quickly drifted to sleep
