I understand My Friend a lot more, right now. And he's talking to me again. And the conversation has been pleasant so far! I feel so much better.
I know now that I must go slowly with him. I can't jump back into this relationship with so many expectations. I've realized just how frightening a 'new best friend' can be. (but I won't go into those details.)
I love My Friend so much, and I want to be friends with him again. But it's gonna take time
A whole lotta precious time
It's gonna take patience and time
To do it right
/random break into music
And OH MY GOD, HE JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING ABOUT ME. Hazy, but it's a start. And I played it cool, just as I should.
Life has perks, people. I mustn't forget this.
