BRB Deep thoughts
Spring
Spring is here.
Sunlight is flooding
into the house,
waking me up early
dragging me out of bed.
The air is tinged
with sweetness,
flowers blooming
fresh fruit falling.
Plans are being thrown
out the window
adventure is waiting.
Spring is grabbing
hold of my hand
calling me outside.

My parents refused to buy me wonder woman underoos, so my brothers helped put together "The Outfit", complete with construction paper head- and wrist-bands, a yellow yarn lasso and pink halter top. Alas, I had no boots or cape, but that didn't stop me from riding around in my big wheel, battling evil in my neighborhood.

Prayer Unanswered
God, grant me peace....
(None found)
God, make things better...I'm so alone
(arriving again to an empty home)
God, help ease my pain...
(Feeling it in my soul- deeper again)
God, heal me I'm dead inside...
(Still dying)
God, let me breath ...I'm suffocating with sorrow
(no mercy, still crying)
God, are you listening...
(Not a sound)
God, are you there?
(No one around)
God, please help me!
(No one arrives)
God I can't take this
(another soul dies)
I don't believe in God any more...

A sense of Time.....
tonight I'm looking for lightning...
I feel it under My skin...
when evening flickers..
on my eyes..
something of an unknown childhood...
trembles..and sighs..
against me...
Time means the trees will become thick....
minds dont understand...
time...
hearts coat sadness..
with sunset..
and make it a pearl ...
tonight I'm listening...
for thunder...
Age is all the places you've rolled and slept....
all the tears you've tasted...
the promises unkept...
tonight I'm feeling the rain

Sleepless
In the silence of the morning
heart-broken and sleepless
I watch him wonder
When did we stop
loving each other?
I thought I would die without him
but now
In the hollow stillness of our room
doubts in time with the ticking of a bedside clock
Unaware he sleeps,
Dreaming of our future together.

Mallzilla
People are fascinating, the constant colors of life moving around us. I sit in a suburban shopping mall early in the morning sipping coffee as retirees stroll by in sweat suits and tennis shoes on a stroll past closed shops . Their faces all tell stories of living a full life. There are some with wrinkles from smiling and laughter over many years carving lines in their kindly faces. Others that wear their loss and sorrow in deep crevices of pain etched along lips and brow. Each one holds a story; each one is beautiful in their way. I sit, wondering what sort of life they had, making up the stories I see etched on face, heard in soft words or witnessed by the tender touch of an older couple walking hand in hand. The idle chatter of young mothers with small curious children strolling by me- unnoticed in my silent ever observant corner of the universe, merely an on looker savoring the site of the ever changing humanity set before me, sipping coffee in a shopping mall.
