Wow. I start a new story in August, thinking, "It's only going to be a small novel, that's all, it couldn't POSSIBLY take me THAT long to write. It's only a break from this story, right here, that's going to be longer than anything I've written before."
SIX MONTHS LATER, the small "break" ends up being so long that I need a break from the break! AAAAARGH!!!! And the best part?! I'VE ONLY FINISHED WRITING ONE PART OUT OF THREE!!! Oy! This book was meant to be relatively short, yet here I end up with something that'll rival "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" in size. And it's not even finished!!!!
So, since I need a break from the break, I'm going to be going back to that other story I was writing before, and finish Part Two. Hence the Avi change.

As you might have noticed, my avi's gone nuts. Well, for that matter, so have I... temporarily, at any rate. Go figure as soon as finals are over, the Christmas season comes. Now, I love gifts as much as the next person. What I don't like is finding out that, once again, there are going to be 50 dogs boarding where I work. And I work the night shift. By myself. gonk Thanksgiving was a living HELL, but at least those dogs were only around for five days tops. THIS time, the majority of them are going to be sticking around until after New Years. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!
On the matter of the story... I STILL HAVEN'T EVEN REACHED THE HALFWAY POINT!!!! What's with this?! I think, "Oh, this can't POSSIBLY be that long!" Boy, did I shove my foot in my mouth or what?
Another reason my avi is insane at the moment, I'm going to try something a little different with my writing. I will still continue to write the major novel, but I'm also going to be working on a bunch of little short stories at the same time. That way, I keep my mind from going numb. Hopefully. Wish me luck; if I finish the novel before mid-January, I'll be able to stay right on top of my non-existant schedule and start seriously looking for an agent to get it published. Keep your eyes open for another chapter in my Thundercat fanfic....
...
....and yes, Dragon, that means I'm going to be finishing more of those alien stories you enjoy so much. Just as soon as I've edited the ones I currently have. sweatdrop

This story I'm currently writing is something else. I figured that no, it couldn't POSSIBLY be that long. After all, it's only supposed to have, what? 10, 11 chapters?
I haven't even finished the fourth chapter yet... and it's already over 100 pages... 12 point Times New Roman. Single space. eek

And now, the picture you've all been waiting for: Yes, that is the Angel Alexial costume. The one playing Princess Mononoke is my little sister, Dragon_Jreama. And yes, those are the took-me-seven-months-to-make-the-damned-things-wings on my back. xp biggrin As a side note, the wings are currently up for auction on eBay, starting price $25. Should you be interested, then move fast; the auction will end on 8/21. biggrin -- Now, leaving behind the Alexial costume, I am glad to say that over the past two weeks I've finished Chapter One Part One of my current story, and am actually almost finished writing Chapter One Part Two (I can see you scratching your heads at that one already, hehe). I'm so proud of myself! Except that I am totally convinced that what I'm writing is really not that great, but then that's how I manage to do my best work. Screwy, no? xd

Technically, my avi shouldn't be red right now.... it should be blue, or perhaps gold. Why? Because the Angel Alexial costume I'm making for Otakon is pretty much taking up all my time. Especially those three wings from HELL. I hate marabou feathers. xp
But, my avi's not been blue or gold because I was able to get a paragraph or two of writing in. Thankfully, the costume is mostly finished, so I should actually have more time on my hands before this weekend is over. I hope. And when I'm done the whole costume, I'll be sure to post a picture so that everyone can tell me how horrid my skills at making copstumes are. Whether the picture will be put up before or after Otakon is debatable at the moment.
Oh, and yes, my avi will be gold starting at about Thursday next week and lasting until either Sunday or Monday, depending on when I get home. And why am I telling you this? Because my life is just that boring at the moment, and... oh, finally, class is over! I can take the dogs downstairs and watch some Hentai now! biggrin

I have come to a delightful decision. Why? Because my life is just that boring. biggrin I have decided that my avatar will reflect just what kind of writing I am doing at the time. I now have five avatars set up (somewhat; white's being a b***h), and they seem perfectly suitable for what I want. Gold: When my avi is like this, chances are I'm not going to be around for a while. This means I'm too busy celebrating or just plain taking a vacation to either write or go online. It probably won't come up very often. Black: The picture below isn't quite accurate for what I want, but it's close enough. When my avi is like this, it means I'm writing stories that are part of my main mental universe. The universe in question has been in existance ever since I first thought of the magical world connected to Earth at the age of five. It's obviously changed a lot since then, including the addition of several other planets, and it's the universe I'm most comfortable in. So, of course, it's likely my avi will look similar to the picture below quite often. [Edit: You're not actually supposed to see this avi's face; the demon eye thing is supposed to be going on, but the site I went to doesn't have that set up.] White: Alas, this is what I WISH my white avi looked like! [ crying ] Unfortunately, I have neither the angelic halo, nor the angelic sash! [ crying ] Still, maybe given a few years, I'll get them. At any rate, when my avi is in white mode, it means I'm just writing either silly short stories (yes, Dragon, that means the alien stories you like so much rolleyes ) or fanfiction, the latter of which I tend to post online on www.fanfiction.net; occasionally, though not always, I post an original short story or two on www.fictionpress.net, but not often, and usually only if I really hate the story. [Edit: Seems the angelic bracelets DO NOT glow; either that, or there's a trick to it that I don't know about....] Red: My red avatar means that I'm in a completely different fantasy universe from the one I'm normally prancing around in. This universe is somewhat more "realistic" than the usual, but only in the sense that the world in question is very similar to our own. It merely has the addition of demons and random magical happenings. As I'm sure you can imagine, I'm not going to be prancing around here very often, but when I do, it'll be for quite a while. Odd note: I liked this avi so much when I finished it, I wanted to create a character that looks like her. Alas, the attempt failed. Maybe later. [Edit: I actually did manage to create a character similar to this avi, and now I must admit I'm quite proud of myself! 3nodding ] Blue: And finally, the last avatar, blue. This avi is NOT going to be one of my favorites, which is why I chose the color blue for it. I hate blue. Passionately. Anyway, when my avi is in blue mode, it means that I'm either having serious writer's block, or that I'm currently too lazy to actually write anything because I just want to read books and watch movies for a while. Unfortunately, it tends to be the first more often than not, so when I'm in blue mode, I'm in a slump. sweatdrop [Edit: Blue is currently a work in progress; it doesn't look quite like this, yet.] P.S. - All of the above avatars are subject to change, just in case I happen to see something I like better than what I already have. biggrin

It rather occurred to me that not all of the characters in my Tcat fanfic would be known to the general public. That, and I just wanted to post these awesome pictures! xd Say hello to Lion-O and Cheetara! Ignore the fact that they're tied up; they seem to get into that kind of mess quite often.... Lion-O is the Lord of the Thundercats, the King, the Head Honcho, Mr. Stick-Up-His-Rear-End, the main character of the whole series, and all around annoying. He's basically a 12-year-old in the body of a 25-year-old man. As I'm sure you can imagine, that results in some pretty interesting side-effects.... xd Cheetara is the main lady Thundercat, and a little bossy at times. However, she's no shrinking violet. She's whooped a s s plenty of times right along side the guys, and has occasionally had to get them out of trouble. I seem to like her best when she does something girly, such as hiding gold in her room simply because she thought it was pretty, mehehehe.... And this is Tygra, the calm, steady, and able-to-see-through-illusions-because-he-is-the-master-of-illusions Thundercat. Uh... he doesn't normally look like this. If anything, he's more likely to look... well, calmer than that. Although, he does seem to be the only Thundercat that gets addicted to things.... And here are Panthro and Snarf! Panthro's the ig guy in the background that's having a very interesting experience at the moment. He doesn't care too much for magic, and he's terrified of [snick] bats. He also has a machine called the Thundertank that he regularly calls his baby. My older sister is convinced he's gay, because of that.... The freaky animal thing is Snarf. Snarf needs to be shot; that's all you need to know. And here are the troublemakers of the group, the Thunderkittens. The boy is Wily Kat and the girl is Wily Kit. My own impression is that Kit is older, but no one's really sure about that. Oh, by the way, when I say troublemakers, I mean they makes those brats in Nanny McPhee look like angels.... I love my Lynx-O, and that's exactly who this guy is! He's the oldest (living) Thundercat, and blind. Be warned: he's no pushover. He's beaten the crap out of several bad guys on his own, age and inability to see not withstanding. If anything, his blindness gives him an advantage at having hearing so accute that he can probably hear every little thing that goes on in the Thundercats' fortress without moving an inch. Hehehehehe, he could probably tell you just who's been screwing around with whom lately.... My own pathetic attempt at drawing my favorite female character, Pumyra. Unfortunately, I can't tell you very much about her as she rarely does anything of importance. However, that makes her useful in a fanfic, 'cause she's basically the character that you can do most anything with. My Bengali! When I was younger, I was two short steps from convincing myself that he was my older, loving, and somewhat impulsive older brother. He will always be my favorite Thundercat, and until the day I die, PUMYRA WILL NEVER STEAL HIM AWAY FROM ME!!!! The pictures below are really of no importance, but I wanted to post them anyway, 'cause they're cool. Here are Pumyra, Cheetara, and Lynxana. Lynxana never appeared in the TV series, only in the comic books. She's got that cool mix of evil and good going on, so much so that you're never quite certain what it is she'll do next. And for fun, I drew my own version of that pose! It took me literally all day.... Whacha think? This is a new character, Siberia, created by Red Lioness for her story Curse of the Golden Tiger. That story was awesome, and I actually liked Siberia so much I had to go and draw a picture of her. In case you actually go out of your way to read the story (which I would strongly suggest, because it's just that good), I won't spoil anything for you except to say that Siberia is something called a were-tiger, and she's going about some strange business to get what she wants, mehehehe....

I am forcibly reminded WHY I hated using fanfiction.net in the first place.... xp
It'll take me a bit longer to figure out how to post up my Thundercat fanfiction, I'm afraid. Every time I've done so so far, something @#$%ed up royally, and I couldn't fix it! scream It normally wouldn't annoy me so much... but the story's large enough that it's doing so anyway! scream
They need to have an "Insane Screaming" emoticon, 'cause I need it right about now.... evil
I'll be sure to edit this post when I've finally managed to get the damned thing working properly....
Edit: The story has finally been posted 5/20/06, though it'll probably take it a few hours to upload completely on the website. Sorry for the delay. biggrin

To celebrate the release of Season Two Volume One of the ever-lasting cool TV Show THUNDERCATS, I'm writing a 5 (or is it 6? We'll see) part fanfiction story that continues past the last episode, "Book of Omens." Only five new characters managed to weasel their way into the story (and I plan to keep it at five, so that it's an even number xd ), and I drew pictures of them all, because that's just how boring my life is. Besides, this gives me an excuse to take a break from the current novel I'm writing (the prologue grew into Part One, and I want to gather my thoughts and ideas before I write Part Two). And there's no better way to take a break for me than to day dream about Thundercats, which includes shoving my Pumyra action figure into my pocket as a lucky charm to help me pass my Japanese final. Crap, it's 3:30 already?! I better get studying! But before I leave, here are the pictures I drew for the first four new characters that show up (and no, none of them are Mary Sues or Gary Lous, I'm being very careful about that). Does this mean I'll be posting the story online? But of course! That way you all get to poke me and make fun of me for being a Thunder-freak! My own two personal favorites. Bengali and Tygra being my all-time favorite Thundercats, I gave them an older sister (and if you can't guess which one she is, that's just sad....). And, of course, I wanted to have someone that plays with poisons (and if you're an Angel Sanctuary fan, yes, I made her look a little like Sevotarthe on purpose sweatdrop ). Actually, Venenum is kind of funny that way. She's got a Latin name (it means poison)... but she speaks with a Japanese accent! My bad! xd rofl xd Panthro's in this picture because Ater fell in love with him... and Panthro insists that the feeling ISN'T mutual, despite the fact that he goes out of his way on more than one occasion to save the hide of the little half-breed.... wink My mutant character! I'm a little sick of all the mutants being bad guys, so I made one that isn't! That doesn't mean the Thundercats like him very much, though. My poor Aequo.... crying
