OMG!! Has anyone ever been attacked by a Praying Mantis? Well I was attacked yesterday at a gastation!!!! This thing was huge and it fought back against me when I tried to kill it.
Ok story time:
My frined (Jess) and I went to pick my sister (Paradise Flower) from work. Para wanted to get a soda so she could stay up late and do home work so we went. My Jess also got an Ice cream bar that was in a box (yes this infromation is vital to the story!!!) So we got back in the car then Jess turns to me and askes if I know how to fill a tire with air. Yes I do so she pulled in to a different gastation and we all got out she finshed her Ice cream bar and left the box in the car.
When Jess and I are looking for the PSI Para just screams bug, now both para and Jess are afraid of bugs (Jess more then Para). Jess jumps up screaming with out even looking at it. I stand up and there it is the biggest fricken Mantis I have ever seen sitting in the crack of the open drivers sided door *yeah she left it open*. Para and Jess are yelling kill it, kill it. So I slam the door on it, you would think that would have killed it right............WRONG!!!
I open the door and it crawls out really fast from the door on the the wind shield of Jess's car, Para and jess scream and run away really fast. It was looking at me like I dare you to try that again. People were looking at us like what the heck is going on with those girls. I am laughing on the inside the whole time.
So it was up to me to kill it, I got in to the car to get the box that Jess left in there. At first I just wanted to shoo it away not kill it. Yeah well I became really mad at it when it started to attack the fricken box following me on top of the car, I would be walking to the other side of the car and it would follow just waiting for the box. By this time Jess and Para both had retreted inside the sancturay of the gastation leaving me to fight off the beast.
I hit it one last time with the box on the roof of the car and it hopped on top of the ski rack looking at me standing as tall as it can get with its scythe like pincures up waiting. I am getting mad at this thing I tried to be nice but oh no it wouldnt just fly away so I take my shoe off and smack it over the head. It is stunded and landed back on the roof of the car. I stand on the bumper and I hit it one more time and drag it off the roof to the ground and step on it one more time.
Yes Victory!!!! I felt bad I have to give it props for standing up to something 100 times bigger then it but sheese enough was enough. And that my friends is the attack of the Giant Mantis may nothing like it happen to another poor soul they might not be as lucky as I.
