My dad, Me, and The Dehumidifier
Okay so here we are. We have this dehumidifier, that is in my room (the basement). it worked great last summer; keeps the room dry, and cool. Sometime mid-spring this year it broke. I did not really care, as we have low humidity in the winter/spring time. July 5th I left for my Mom's house on vacation, and when I got back my room was so humid I stuck to myself. I told my dad we had to get the dehumidifier working. So we looked at new ones. $200 !!! No way we said. So we opened the dehumidifier ,I'll tell you what that is a story in itself lol, and took a look. It was getting really hot so we check a few things and found out the fan was not running. We check all the cables and they were fine then we noticed the fuse was busted. Relaxing now that we found the problem we were happy. We left for radio shack paid 5 bucks for a new fuse and put it all back together. I lugged the thing downstairs and turned it on. Ahhh sweet dryness until... 20 minutes later when it turned off. Turns out the motor for the fan is busted and if we cant find a replacement we will have to buy a new one. Well we almost saved some money lol.
